MESSAGE

L et me start by wishing you

all a very Merry Christmas

and I hope you have a wonderful New

Year.

We have truly enjoyed the Holidays

this year with my little girls. It is fun to

see and experience Christmas through

them. The spirit is alive in the Da Sacco

residence although I think I’m reached

my limit of Christmas movies.

What kicked off the Holiday season

for me though was on December

meeting. It was one of the more

enjoyable meetings I’ve been a part of

and board is committed to bringing and

creating that kind of environment and

spirit every month.

After our December members’

meeting, we had two other great events

this month. The first was the Children’s’

Christmas Party on December 14th. An

outstanding job was done by Niva and

Linda in organizing the event. The kids

loved it, Santa was great (thanks Mr.

Riggi), they had “Mad Fun” with the

Mad Science people and the kids left

with some nice gifts (including a cool

toothbrush and toothpaste set donated by

our very own Dr. Demarco).

The second wonderful event in

December was our Turkey Give-a-Way.

We had approximately 20 members

volunteer their time on December 20th

to put together and give away 150

packs. It was truly a special experience

and it feels so good to be able to help

those in need, especially this time of

year. Thanks so much to our sponsors

and our volunteers.

I look forward to seeing you all next

week for our first meeting of 2015.

Charity Poker

Tournament I'm happy to announce that

the 2nd Annual CIBPA Poker

Tournament has made a net profit of

approx. $3,000. One thousand dollars

will go towards our Scholarship

program and another $1,000 will go

towards helping at our annual Turkey

Giveaway event. The remainder of the

funds will help support the Children's

Christmas Party and CIBPA Charitable.

We are hoping to have our 3rd

Annual CIBPA Poker Tournament

sometime in May 2015.

Also, the Special Events committee

is working hard on potentially

sponsoring a Major Entertainment Act

for 2015-2016, so stay tuned for more

information.

CHILDREN CHRISTMAS

PARTY

December 14, 2014 was a busy day for

Santa, the Children’s Christmas Party

was a success. Thank you to the Fogolar

Furlan for their service and wonderful

lunch.

I’d like to thank Linda De Luca and

Walter Riggi for their assistance, and

everyone that attended to make the day

festive. Thank you Dr. Paul DeMarco

for the donation of the stocking gift of

electric tooth brush with past to keep the

smiles gleaming.

We will see you next year.

The CIBPA Board is

Italian of the Year.

The banquet will be held

at the Giovanni Caboto Club on

Saturday March 07, 2015. Please

TURKEY GIVE-AWAY

The CIBPA Board along with several

other volunteers provided 150 needy

residents of Windsor with a holiday

dinner consisting of 10 lb. turkey, bag

of potatoes, can of corn, loaf of bread,

bag of apples and a bag of pasta on

Saturday December 20th, 2014 in front

of the Goodfellows Offices.

This would not of been possible

without the support of the sponsors and

volunteers. A great job and a big thanks.
