“Caught Doing Something GREAT!

OUR TEAM is happy to the gills!

The employee recognition program is meant to recognize,

reward, and motivate multiple employees for doing great

things here on our Independence Hill campus.

Born right here in San Antonio, this winter bundle made her debut

on the ninth day of January. Growing up, she used to love making

tamales with mom, aunt and grandmother. She could sit and listen

to them tell stories and share the hot gossip all day if it weren’t for

her other love of being outdoors playing tag football with all the

neighborhood children and her cousins. Through her past

employment this mystery lady was able to travel to Washington

D.C. and Las Vegas, Nevada but she dreams of taking a cruise to

the sunny island of Jamaica. When she’s not hard at work helping

the residents in any way possible, she can be found at home with

her family crafting, sewing or reading a good book! She enjoys

trips to the casino and is even learning sign

language. With a voice like hers, it’s no

surprise that she dreams to one day sing the

national anthem at a sporting event. Her

inviting personality and wonderful work

ethic make this mystery gal a true fit here

at Independence Hill. Can you guess who

this month’s mystery employee is?

Last month’s Mystery Employee: Jennifer Nealy

Prescriptions Prescriptions will be picked up from assigned local pharmacies

Monday through Friday. After being notified by the pharmacy your

prescription is ready for pickup, call the Front Desk

The Declaration December 2019

Mystery Resident Born on the warm summer day of June 30th in Little Rock, Arkansas, this angel faced bundle brought true joy

to her very excited parents. Being that she was an only child, she remembers how much of a joy it was to be

her parents whole world and how many things she got to do and clubs she could be a part of. Despite having to

move a few times due to her father’s job, this mystery lady was able to dance and cheer as part of her High

School team and then in her University years at the University of Arkansas. Her cheerful disposition and

bubbly personality took her all the way to homecoming royalty for high school and University. After knowing

her future husband since eighth grade homeroom class, they finally decided

to tie the knot in 1956 after they both graduated with Business Administra-

tion Degrees. With her husband being commissioned by the Air Force and

sent into pilot training, this mystery resident along with her husband and

their three precious sons moved quite a bit for his career. Though she spent

a lot of time packing and unpacking, this mystery lady still found time to

prove just how important keeping active is by teaching fitness and exercise

classes for over thirty years and even taught classes to the officers wives

club on base. Though her husband and she had lived in the Fort Worth area

for years after he retired, they did find themselves back in Arkansas taking

care of her parents before moving closer to their son here in San Antonio

and settling into life at Independence Hill. This lovely lady still remains

incredibly active and enjoys going out to dinner, line dancing the afternoon

away and showing her support of the staff while serving on the RAF

committee! Can you guess who this month’s cheery mystery resident is?
