One way to do this is to at-tend Desserts with Dave for culinary issues, Activity Planning Meeting with Connie & Erin for activities programming and the Resident Town Hall with the management team. It’s a great way to inform us of things that we are doing well and things that we can improve on.

If there is something that we do well, we would LOVE for you to share that with us through an official Testimonial. We’ve included that form if you are interested. Thank you in advance!

A big thanks to Jack Bernard for organizing the library. It looks amazing! If you’d like to read a book in the li-brary, no need to check it out - just take it and then re-turn it when you are done at the desk (next to the com-puter) in the library.

Happy March!

Live Stream Worship Service

Sundays | 9:45 am | 2nd Floor Chapel

On Sundays at 9:45am we live stream the Sunday service of St. Philip the Deacon (ELCA) Lutheran Church. This is held in the Chapel/Theater room on the second floor. We set up the service and get to follow along with the service (held at St. Philip’s) here at Cherrywood Pointe. The pastor isn’t here but it’s a way for us to gather and worship together on Sunday morning. A special thanks to Janet for sending us the worship ser-

vice and hymns so we can follow along. Contact Erin E. with questions.

Colleen is our community chaplain. She is

excited to meet you and serve Cherrywood

Fitness Class Offerings & Updates

In March, we will continue with the Ridgedale YMCA partnership and take a trip to

the YMCA to check things out. We won’t be swimming or going to a class. It will be

a chance to take a quick tour of the YMCA. If you like it and would like to go back to

take a class or spend some time in the pool, then we will go back!

Weekly Fitness Classes -

At Cherrywood Pointe of Plymouth, we have certified instructor led classes Mon-

day - Saturday at 10a. The classes are free and for all residents. If you aren’t sure

where to start with any of our classes or gym equipment, please contact Erin or

Connie. We are happy to help and would love to have you in class!

Monday - Silver Sneakers with the YMCA

Tuesday - Music & Movement

Wednesday - Balance & Mobility & Seated Stretch with Anne

Thursday - Tai Chi with the YMCA

Friday - Silver Sneakers with the YMCA

Saturday - Chair Yoga with Susie

Silver Sneakers Classic- Class Taught by Ridgedale YMCA

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to in-crease muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. This class is typically 45 minutes in length.

Tai Chi - Class Taught by Ridgedale YMCA

Tai Chi is an ancient form of Chinese exercise consisting of slow, beautiful, re-laxed movements that develop a sense of balance and harmony between mind and body. Exercise for your body. A study in concentration for your mind. Tai Chi practice will give you the opportunity to use all the information and movements learned in the instruction class in a moving meditation. This class is typically 30-45 minutes in length.

Fitness Class Descriptions:

Functional Fitness This is a seated or standing 45 minute class that focuses on movements that you do on a daily basis. We will work on strength, balance and endurance. Music & Movement In this seated, 30-minute exercise class, we use lightly weighted drumsticks to move to the beat of the music. This class is for all levels and all exercises are done seated.

Balance & Mobility

This is a 45-minute class that focuses on strength and balance. A portion of the class is done seated and the remainder is standing. This class includes exercises that maintain or improve both static balance and dynamic balance. Seated Exercise & Seated Stretch: This is a 30-minute class designed to maintain or improve balance, lower & up-per body strength, flexibility & mobility. This class can all be done seated. Chair Yoga

This is a 30-minute seated stretching class that is practiced sitting in a chair or using the chair for support. This class incorporates different exercises (yoga poses) that focus on flexibility, stability and mobility.

SAIL: Stay Active & Independent for Life Fitness Class: This is a class designed to maintain or improve balance, lower & upper body strength and mobility. This fitness class is designed for individuals 65 years or older and is for every BODY. This class is typically 60 minutes in length.

Staff Birthdays in March

Community Reminders

Please pick up to-go orders for lunch at 12:30p or later and for dinner, 5:30p or later. Please call the front desk and place the order ahead of time. Thank you!

We want to fill this community with amazing seniors which is why CWP offers a $500 bonus when you refer a new resident! This is a $500 bonus for you and ALSO a $500 bonus for the new resident!

Staff and residents, please use the front doors or garage, only, for coming and going. Because of snow and ice buildup at the door frames, some doors do not close. (I have found them cracked open). This could cause a water line to freeze and break. It also com-promises our security which could allow anyone access if they do not latch. A reminder that there are cameras at all doors.

Channel 1-2 is up and running. Check out the daily schedule and

menu on your television. Please contact the front desk with any ques-

tions or concerns.

Please sign in and out when you leave the building.
