The titles of their PhD research were “Weed dynamics and management studies in direct seeded rice (Oryza sativa L.)”, “Response of Maize to seed priming and foliar application with various combinations of growth promoting substances”, “Carbohydrate based prebiotic effects on quality attributes of yoghurt and its probiotic endurance”, “Attenuating adverse effects of water deficit stress on wheat (Triticumaestivum L.) through silicon application”, “Association mapping of seed traits in wheat (Triticumaestivum L.)”. 3. A position of Research Fellowship is available at a consolidated pay @ Rs. 20,000/- per month in the HEC funded research project entitled “A Soil health Initiative for Agricultural and Environmental Sustainability in Pakistan”. Criteria: PhD student’s preferable wished to work in Soil Physics Section; Institute of Soil & Environmental Sciences with CGPA of 3.00/4.00 will be preferred. The intended students may apply for the said position in the office of the PI Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Assistant Professor within 7 days after the publication of this notice.

4. Applications are invited from the Pakistani nationals for one post of Research Fellow in a HEC funded project title “Seed invigoration of quinoa by employing seed priming strategies” at consolidated pay of PKR 10,000/- pm. The ideal incumbent will be a M.Sc. (Hons)/PhD Agronomy student. Applications are invited for the post of Research Fellow in the Endowment funded Project Entitled “Introducing Farmers with UAF-11: A Brassica Oil Seed Elite Line of the UAF” at a consolidated pay of Rs. 13,000/- per month. The candidates, who are PhD students in PBG are eligible to apply. 6. Applications are invited for one post of a Research Fellow @ Rs. 15,000/- per month available in the HEC funded project entitled “Etiology and Integrated Management of Declining Perennial Ornamental Plants”. Applicant should be student of M.Sc. (Hons) Plant Pathology having CGPA not less than 3.00 in B.Sc. (Hons). Endowment Fund Secretariat was created in the UAF to strengthen agriculture academia through Technology Transfer, Faculty Development, Product Commercialization and R&D, with financial support from USDA. Therefore, UAF and USDA must also be reflected in the monogram. The competition is open to all campus community. For further details, EFS may be visited. A handsome amount as cash prize will be awarded to the creator of selected monogram. Monograms may be submitted to EFS within one month of the publication of this notice.
