Churchshelter(20Apr)–Manyshelterseekersaredisplacedduetosafe-distancingmeasurescausingreducedhousingavailability.SessionhasapprovedandrespondedtoMSF’sappealedforchurchestoprovidetemporaryhousingfordisplacedpeopleduringCircuitBreaker.From20Aprilto4May,ZionBishanwillopenfiveroomsonthegroundfloorastemporaryhousingforfiveindividuals.TheLivingRoomcaféwillbeprovidingmealsforthem.
ZBCOVID-19MissionReliefFund(p.6)–Inthesetimesofmanifoldneedseverywhere,dopraythatwe,andforallchurches,toriseup,“standinthegap”(Ez22:30-31)andprovidereliefforthesaints.Themajorityofusmayhaveourlifestylesdisruptedinthisseason.Butformanyothers,includingchurchmembers,theirlivelihoodsareinjeopardy.SessionhasapprovedthecommencementoftheZionBishanCOVID-19MissionReliefFundandweinviteyoutoprayerfullyconsiderpartneringwithusinthisendeavour.
OurPeopleDomesticHelpers–Lev19:34exhortsusto“lovethealien[inourmidst]asyourself.”Prayfordomestichelperswhotakecareofourfamilies,whiletheyareapartfromtheirs.Prayalsofor
employersandfamiliestounderstandtheirblessedpositiontobefaithfulstewardsofthelivesthatGodhasentrustedtothem.MaytheyconsiderhowtoshowGod’slovetotheirhelpersandsharethegospelofJesusChristwiththem.
OurWorldWestBengal,India—InthemidstofIndia’slockdown,wethankGodforaministrypartnerwhovisitedfamiliesandidentified,andaddressedfoodconcernsintheneighbourhood.
Incollaborationwiththecommunity,themissionpartnermanagedtoprovidericeanddhalfortheneedy.PraiseGodforthisinitiative.
Prayfortheirprotectionfromthevirusevenastheyuseprotectivegearandpracticesafedistancing.Maytheypersevereinreachingouttothecommunityevenasthelockdownextendsbeyondtheintendeddeadline.
MinistryPartnerinCentralPhilippines—UpdateonPrimen,whohasheartproblems.ThankGodacardiologistisabletoexaminehim.Dopraythatnecessarymedicalfacilitieswillbeavailableforhisexamination.

Zion Bishan COVID-19 Mission Relief Fund DearZionBishanMembers,Weareintroubledtimes!Notonlyisourwayoflifeaffected,butformany,theirmeansoflifearealsothreatened.Theseincludeourchurchmembers,thesurroundingcommunity,andourmissionpartnerswhoco-labourwithustoproclaimtheGospel.Hence,theSessionhassetupadesignatedZionBishanCOVID-19MissionReliefFund.ThisFundservesthreepurposes.Firstly,in-reachtoourmembers.Ifyouareaffectedbythecurrentsituationandneedhelp,pleasereachouttoyourAGleader,Clusterleader,anypastorsorministrystaff.Evenifyouarenotaffectedfinancially,wehaveagroupofPeerSupportGroupvolunteerswhostandreadytosupportyouspirituallyandemotionally.Wewanttobeofhelp!Secondly,outreachtoourcommunity.TherearemanyinourcommunitywhoareelderlyandlimitedinmobilitylikesomeintheGoldenJasmineretirementblocknearus.Wewishtobetheirneighbourintheirtimesofneed(Luke10:25-37).Wearealsointouchwiththecommunityleadersandhaveidentifiedafewsuchseniorswhoneedhelpwithgroceriesandmeals.Thirdly,outreachtoourmissionpartners.Manyofourmissionpartnersarefacingdireneedsnotonlyconcerningtheirownlivelihoodbutalsotheministryaswell.Inpeacetimes,wesupporttheminpropagatingtheGospelinWord.Insuchtryingtimes,wewantalsotobesupportingtheminproclaimingtheGospelinworks—Loveyourneighbourasyourself.Hence,wewouldalsoliketoappealtothoseofyouwhomGodhasblessedmuchwithtoprayerfullyconsiderthis:1.GivetowardsthisFundforthereliefofthesaints.2.Thereisanation-widemovementfromthosewhomaynotneedthelatest$600governmentsubsidytogivetowardsaworthycause.Doconsidergivingyour$600subsidytooneofthese.Ifyouwish,youmayalsogivetoourZBCOVID-19MissionReliefFund.Asintheparableofthetalents(Matthew25:14-30),weareremindedthatweareonlystewardsofwhatGodhadentrustedtous.Letusthenstrive,toalwaysproclaimtheWord,andwhereneeded,toproclaiminworksourfaithinourLordJesusChrist.PastorAlby*YoumaygivetotheGeneral&MissionsFundbutincludethedesignationCV-19MRF.Indicatethisunder'remarks'ifyou'redoingsoviaelectronicmeans.*KindlynotethatanyresidualfundswillbechannelledtotheGMFuponthecessationofthisFund.
