IES College of Technology, Bhopal Department of Electronics & Communication Organizes Two Days National Seminar on Wireless Networking: A practical implementation of wireless theory Date: 20 & 21 Nov. 2015 About the Seminar: The aim of the seminar is to bring together researchers, industry, policy planners and provide a forum for exchange of ideas, interaction, networking and collaboration for research & development in the field of Wireless Networking with Special emphasis on the practical implementation of wireless theory. This two day seminar will provide the fundamental understanding of how wireless networks work and the latest research and development being done in this field. It is expected that this interaction would result into discussion of latest problems and solution in this field. The seminar will have plenary talks, Invited talks and a workshop on IEEE Standards and Hardware devices where the simulation and hardware implementation of Networks will be demonstrated. Objectives: Wireless networking refers to technology that enables two or more computers to communicate using standard network protocols, but without network cabling. Strictly speaking, any technology that does this could be called wireless networking. The current buzzword however generally refers to wireless LANs. Wireless Networking: A practical implementation of wireless theory

Date: 20 & 21 Nov. 2015

About the Seminar:The aim of the seminar is to bring together researchers, industry, policy planners and provide a forum for exchange of ideas, interaction, networking and collaboration for research & development in the field of Wireless Networking with Special emphasis on the practical implementation of wireless theory.

Objectives:

Wireless networking refers to technology that enables two or more computers to communicate using standard network protocols, but without network cabling. Strictly speaking, any technology that does this could be called wireless networking. The current buzzword however generally refers to wireless LANs. This technology, fuelled by the emergence of cross-vendor industry standards such as IEEE 802.11, has produced a number of affordable wireless solutions that are growing in popularity with business and schools as well as sophisticated applications where network wiring is impossible, such as in warehousing or point-of-sale handheld equipment

Topics to be covered:

Introduction of wireless networking

IEEE Standards related to wireless networking

Wireless local and personal area network.

Wireless networking hardware

IPV4 & IPv6
