SALT LAKE CITY WEATHER

Climate and Dress Salt Lake has four distinct seasons. Summer is pleasantly warm with low humidity and cooler mountain temperatures. Autumn is a spectacular season with vibrant colored foliage and moderate weather. Spring is mild enough for golfing in the valley, while offering good skiing in the mountains. Winter daytime temperatures in the valley are usually above freezing and light dry powder snowfalls in the mountains. The ski resorts closest to downtown Salt Lake City receive an annual snowfall of over 500 inches or 42 feet. Salt Lake locals dress according to weather and preference. Layered clothing and a warm jacket is most comfortable in winter, while lighter clothing is needed in the spring and summer months. Average Daily Highs
