For complete details on covering Tech, please contact the Sports Information Office at (931) 372-3088.

t GAME DAY MEDIA PASSES: Credentials for working media and photographers covering Tennessee Tech’s home games will be handled by Rob Schabert, Sports Information Director (football, XC, tennis), Jocelyn VerVelde, Sports Information Coordinator (volleyball, women’s basketball, softball), Mike Lehman (men’s basketball, baseball), Dylan Vazzano (soccer, softball). Tennessee Tech follows the guidelines set forth by the NCAA governing the issuance of credentials. Media credentials will be issued to accredited sports writers of daily and weekly newspaper. Similarly, photo and sideline passes will be issued only to accredited members of the photo media working for newspapers, magazine and television stations. All press requests should be made to the TTU Sports Information Office AT LEAST TWO DAYS prior to game day and will be carefully screened to ensure a professional working atmosphere. Space is limited in the media areas, and seats will be assigned first to members of the media who cover Tech on a regular basis and to opponents’ media. Spouses, dates, pets and minors will not be permitted in the press box/press row. All requests for media credentials should be directed to the Tennessee Tech Sports Information Of-fice. The mailing address is P.O. Box 5057, Cookeville, TN 38505. You may call (931) 372-3088 or send an email to: [email protected]. t SIDELINE CONTROL: Tennessee Tech follows guidelines set forth by the NCAA in sideline control. The NCAA has established a sideline control policy to keep those areas free from congestion. Only those photographers on assignment will be given sideline passes. t PARKING SPACE: Media parking for all events is located in the lot adjacent to Eblen Center, unless special provisions are needed for equipment. Parking passes should be requested with media passes.t WEEKLY GAME NOTES: Tennessee Tech’s Sports Information Office prepares weekly game notes, including statistics, records and game information. Weekly game/team notes are also available in PDF format on the Tech web site.t PRACTICES: As a general rule, all Tech practices are open to the media and the public. Please notify the Tech Sports Information Office if you plan to attend practices. Television stations and photographers may shoot the first 30 minutes of practice only. No post-practice interviews will be allowed without prior approval.t PLAYER INTERVIEWS: All player interviews must be arranged through the Sports Information Office. This policy allows us to arrange a time that will not interfere with a student-athlete’s academic sched-ule, which has top priority. No interviews will be granted in the day prior to any game. Please note: No player’s phone number will be given out.t POST-GAME PRESS CONFERENCE: FOOTBALL: Coach Watson Brown and selected players will be available to the media in the meet- ing room in the West Stadium lower level approximately 15-20 minutes after the game. Quick stats will be provided at the press conference. Complete game stats and play-by-play will be available in the press box approximately 15 minutes after the contest. The Visiting Team will be invited to visit the Interview Room first after each home game (win or lose). Visiting team post-game plans will be announced in the press box during the game, and the visiting SID will be available to bring requested players along with the coach. BASKETBALL: Head coaches and selected players will be available outside team locker rooms fol- lowing each contest. Quick stats will be made available immediately upon the conclusion of the games. OTHER: Please communicate with the proper SID contact regarding post-game procedures for all other sports.

EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN

A member of the athletics training staff will be on site for all intercollegiate athletic events at Tennessee Tech. A certified athletics trainer will be within close proximity of each venue. In an emergency situation that requires trans-portation via ambulance, the senior athletics trainer on duty will contact the TTU Police Department to dispatch an ambulance. Upon activation, the police will contact local emer-gency medical personnel and meet them on campus to escort them to the athletic venue.

In a nonemergency situation that requires immediate care from an off-campus provider, the senior athletics trainer on duty will com-municate with the visiting athletics trainer or the coaching staff as to treatment options and will assist the visiting team members with transportation and referral information.
