This week I have been with the CRC movement as their guest in Pukekohe. My prayer was Lord speak to me, and He did! The Scripture was given to me regarding the building of the temple, (which amazingly was the cd I was listening to on the trip there). This is what I sensed God is saying to us on this weekend of vision Sunday: The stones for the temple were cut in the

quarry.

No noise (which resulted from the shaping), was to be made in the temple, but away from it. God is saying that He shapes us in the groups and that is where the hammer and chisel is applied so that when we come together, we fit together. If we don't get shaped then we will not fit together as intended. God has called each one of us to serve Him at Eden and therefore we need to be shaped to fit rightly with the ones around us. The Word is a hammer and we need to apply it to our situation. We are to grow in grace and truth!

There are two key references in building the house of God. 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 1. The corporate responsibility of the oversight of the House (Apostolic ) Ephesians 4:6-11 2. The personal responsibility that each believer has, to make sure they build effectively. Both outcomes are tested by fire! All that we need to successfully build a life, a family, a City and a Church have been given to us. As co-labourers on the job, we continually need to consult the architect and build not by preference but by sound, infallible methods.

Vision is simply an awareness of a preferable future. Vision is the capacity to both see

and provide the impetus for change. All vision is measurable, and to fulfill it requires a

defined strategy and time frame. Without such, what we have is merely a dream. Dreams

come and go, but vision empowers us and attracts the necessary resources needed to

fulfill it. The greatest asset in a strategic vision is momentum. Let’s build momentum!

TODAY SUNDAY 19th June. We will present the vision and strategy for our church over a shared lunch. This is a vitally important event for in our family. Please join us and be part of this cru-cial meeting. All are welcome. Lunch will be held in the cafeteria, the vision presentation in the auditorium. Please bring finger food to share.
