3. Formative Assessment Criteria for Success: (Utilizing the W.R.I.T.E. initiative, how will both you & your students know if they have successfully met the objectives? What specific criteria will be met in a successful product/process? What does success on this unit’s outcome(s) look like?) The assessments will be dialogs, oral exercise practice, and writing practice. The students will be able to speak in conversation, answer questions correctly, and write answers to French questions. In addition, there are opportunities for critical thinking skills, as I have adapted some exercises to French class.

4. Activities/Tasks: (What specific learning experiences will students engage in? How will you use these learning experiences or their student products as formative assessment opportunities? How will “process” lead to “product.”)The students will practice canned dialogues, as well as creating their own dialogues. They will work in groups to answer orally the text questions. They will write the answers to questions in the workbook and grammar and vocabulary packet. In addition, they will be singing and dancing to songs to remember the Alphabet and numbers.

Resources/Materials: (What texts, digital resources and/or materials will be used in this unit’s lesson?)Students have access to the text book, grammar and vocabulary packet, the workbook, CDs – one with the text and a supplementary CD for song and dance. There are several teacher made materials throughout the unit to reinforce the concepts.
