Directions for the Essay– Now that you have examined the documents that relate to the effect of Rock ‘n’ Roll on America, you will answer the question, “To what extent and in what ways has contemporary music impacted American society 1950-1980?” You will analyze the positives and negative impacts that each of the documents has on American society. You will give a critical interpretation explaining the effect music plays on Americans. Us the suggested format to write your essay. Each paragraph is worth 5 points

Introductory paragraph: You need to explain how music is able to shape people’s thoughts, lives, memories, and even American society (Do not use first person or I believe while explaining this portion). You will then give 3 examples (which become the topics for each of you body paragraphs). Lastly a thesis statement is mandatory.
