Husky Air Pilot Angel Availability System (HAPAAS) Project Plan
June 8th, 2014
Project Goals
Husky Air Pilot Angel Availability System (HAPAAS) is being undertaken to develop a computer-based system to manage and track Husky Air’s Pilot Angel volunteers. Pilot background information (ex. flight hours, certifications, ratings, etc.) and aircraft specifics (ex. Aircraft identification number (N number), engine type, capacity, etc.) will be recorded and housed in the system. Those requesting Pilot Air services will also be recorded along with the associated patients/passengers to better match volunteers. Analytic reporting capability will be needed to recognize the activities of volunteers. Other additions proving to be added value to the organization will be considered during the various project phases.

Scope Definition and Verification
Refer to the Deliverable Structure Chart, Use Case Diagram and the Deliverable Definition Chart as those detail the deliverables and milestones. Scope change control is in place to ensure changes to scope are documented and that project is still aligned with the Business Case and MOV. To ensure this, a change scope request has been provided for use during all phase changes of the scope.
Scope Verification is the process of ensuring that the project’s scope has been verified and formally accepted by the appropriate stakeholders. As previously mentioned, the Deliverable Structure Chart, Use Case Diagram and the Deliverable Definition Chart provides guidance to the achievement of the project being aligned to overall goals, provide stated deliverables and are meeting the milestones. Approval and Acceptance at certain phases of the project provides continued assurance that the project is on schedule and as planned.
Scope Change Process
As needs to change the scope of the project arises, formal documentation and approval by appropriate stakeholders are required. The document on the next page (Page 6) is the Scope Change Request Form. This Form is required to be completed in thoroughly and with the authorized approvals and acceptance. Changes to the project will ultimately require change in resources and overall project goals. Therefore, prepare accordingly and account for all subsequent changes.
Following the Scope Change Request Form (Page 7) is the Scope Change Request Log that is required to be documented and filed to ensure that all changes and/or change requests are managed accordingly. This Form provides a continual log of all activities associated with the Scope and overall goals of the project.
