Our History• Structerre was founded by two engineering graduates, Gervase Purich and Michael

Young in 1980

• The Company was started with the goal of providing a wide range of specialist engineering services, something which was unheard of when they began

• 1987- we opened our First Regional Office in Bunbury to supply our services to the South West Market

• 1996 - we opened a branch in Geraldton to service the North West of WA

• 2005 - we became a National Company, with the opening of a office in Brisbane

• 2006 - our CEO Gervase was recognised for his outstanding commitment and contribution to the building and construction industry – awarded the Robert Law Award

• 2007 - our Head Office moved to 1 Erindale Road, a brand new building

• 2009 - we acquired Formsteel, and opened offices in the Gold Coast & Albany

• 2010 - Structerre turned 30!

• 2011 - We opened a Sydney Office

• 2012 - We entered into our partnership with AGEC Australia

• 2013 - So far we have launched our new website!!

FormsteelWe specialise in the engineering and detailing of cold formed steel structures. Utilising our own in-house developed software, we can make quick modifications to complex roof, walls, and floor designs, allowing innovative and economical design solutions. We also specialise in residential and commercial structures in local, overseas, and cyclonic areas.

Energy AssessmentStructerre Energy Assessment are a team of ABSA accredited Energy Assessors who provide personalized design assessments ensuring your building project meets or exceeds the 6 star energy rating requirements outlined in the Building Code of Australia. Our specialist team has experience with every type of dwelling, covering all types of construction and can provide you with the information you need to help you make the right decision for your project.

GeotechnicalStructerre Geotechnical conducts field investigations, testing of foundation materials, laboratory testing of soil material and other exploratory work. With the use of our in-house materials testing laboratory together with our highly skilled team we are able to provide our clients with timely and accurate results.

Our clients include developers, project managers, private investors, home owners, manufacturing and industrial corporations, educational institutions, architects, consulting engineers, builders and State and Federal Government agencies.

What You Need to know• Parking: Please review relevant information in the

Alternative Parking Policy and Guidelines or the Parking Map found in your starter pack. 

• Pay: This is distributed on a fortnightly basis. Timesheets to log hours will be shown to you by your team members.

• Leave: If you are taking a sick day your Manager needs to be informed an hour before your required start time. Annual Leave is requested through Self Service. Self Service will only work when opened using Firefox web browser.

 • Social: There are various social activities that are broadcasted regularly. One

regular social activity is Friday afternoon drinks, where everyone can finish at 4:30pm to participate; however remaining hours must be made up. Casual dress is every Friday with a cake day on the last Friday of every month. Cake day requires a gold coin donation towards the relevant charity. 

What You Need to know cont.

• Dress Standards: Our Dress Code Policy outlines what is acceptable and unacceptable dress for the workplace. Uniforms are available for purchase from the Marketing Department; however those who are required to go on site are provided with appropriate work uniform and safety boots. 

• The Review Process: This is conducted over three months of the year and you will be directed by your Manager as to when your Review will take place.

• Intranet: Information you need to access can be found on the Company intranet so please make use of this tool. Information on the Intranet is continually updated.

• Lunch: Is usually taken around 12pm its best to consult your Manager with regard to breaks; however lunch can be taken at your desk, in the Island or outside. The cafes in close vicinity are:

• For the safety of our employees we have a detailed Fire Evacuation Plan and dedicated First Aid Officers

• Available to all staff members is the services of our confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

– This program has been designed to help employees manage a vast range of problems, to reduce stress levels and to assist them in coping with day-to-day situations that may present as an issue of consequence.

– This service is provided by the company free of charge for the first 3 initial consultations per annum.
