• Program an engine :– Generally in C/C++ language.– Support of OpenGL or Direct3D libraries.– The most part is the graphical engine.– Sometimes, artificial intelligence.

How to create a game

• Mapping and texturing :– Modeling the characters, using 3D software.– Mapping the levels, with

specific editors which are especially developed for the game.

– Texturing the levels, using 2D software.

How to create a game

• Developers Teams :– From 5 to 30 developers work with each.– At least, a lead programmer, a second for

external tasks, two 3D modelers and a graphic artist.

– And an editor for the game. Generally the editor is a well-known company.
