Looking for a quilt that is both lovely and easy to piece? Look no further than this pastel twin-size/throw quilt. The softly colored paisley, floral, butterfly, bird, and geometric prints blend together beautifully. Subtle value di�erences between “light” and “dark” fabrics provide visual interest.

Making and Assembling the Quilt1. Yardage is su�cient to allow flexibility in

cutting the squares and rectangles. If there is a fabric you especially like, cut more patches from it and fewer from other fabrics.

2. Refer to the Quilt Diagram. On a large flat surface, arrange 32" squares into 14 rows of 18 patches each and rectangles into 7 rows of 18 patches each, arranging the rows in the order shown.

3. Once you are satisfied with the arrangement, join the patches into rows. Press seam allow-ances in alternating rows in opposite direc-tions. Join the rows.

Finishing the Quilt4. Layer the quilt with batting and backing and

baste. Quilt in the ditch around block patches. Quilt around the printed motifs if desired. Bind to finish the quilt.
