About us

UPLIFT Wisconsin and Career Center is a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) since 2009,who�s strategic mission is to transition our returning heroes into specific careers andgainful employment. Our leading edge 90 day �Reverse Boot Camp� career training program is unique and revolutionary.

UPLIFT Wisconsin canvases different industries within the Milwaukee 7 region insearch of hiring employers. We spoke with hundreds of employers willing to hire and the response to our proposal was overwhelming and astonishing.

Operation: Military to Tradesman (M2T)

Create a joint venture between UPLIFT Wisconsin and the hiring employersthat incorporates their prerequisite of needs including each industries specific skill set of certified standards.

Each key component is derived from direct involvement of the hiring employer and continuing support throughout the entire M2T program. This real world relationship building, mentoring process and �Hands On� face to face curriculum cannot be found in a simple book or online. It�s success is developed through experience earned every day.

Our goal is life changing because we provide a world class career training and

job placement opportunities for any veteran and their family in Wisconsin. We will continue to add new skill sets as the request from other hiring employers grows. UPLIFT Wisconsin�s attitude will always be to �Assess, improvise, adapt, and overcome,� This standard will also hold true as we grow internally state wide and build resources to bring this experience and program to other states.

This all inclusive, critical, sustainable and easily duplicated vision is a �One Stop Career Center� and digital multimedia library.

Military to Tradesmen (M2T)

UPLIFT Wisconsin and Career Center's (M2T) Military to Tradesmen is a request from the Department of Veteran Affairs.

This internationally accredited apprentice construction curriculum has over 70 accredited skill sets available and an assessment "Fast Track" program for those veterans who already have military construction experience and applied application-time served.

This is an �Employer First� and unemployed veteran hands-on career development and job placement program. We pre-screen the employer and veteran to match the employers immediate needs, company policies and prerequisites to the veterans� passion and desire to obtain or grow a specific skill set, as well as their previous MOS occupational service.

Example: Electrical, Rough Carpentry, HVAC and Plumbing

Each career module is an intensive 90 day / 480 hour reverse boot camp style of hands-on and in-the-field job training with certified instructors: 230 hours of class room job readiness and transitioning training, critical thinking, OSHA, etc.; and 250 hours of Applied Application Skills on premise or in the field training.NOTE: Many apprentice class room certificate of completion are only 400 hours.

Each pre-screened employer will volunteer and participate throughout the module either on premise, onsite or online via Skype through our LIVE Steam. Employers will share the roll of a guest speaker, mentor and assessor to guarantee the curriculum's focus and outcome standards, certified instructor content and delivery, applied knowledge and critical thinking concepts, assuring that the individual needs of both the employer and veteran are being met.

ANOTHER WISCONSIN FIRSTEvery module will be streamed LIVE for everyone to view and share both words of room-for-improvement critique and accolades. Employers will have available the "Ultimate 90 Day Interview Process" that can be used for day to day progress and in motivating potential disgruntled employees.

A job fair will be provided for the final application and interview process.

UPLIFT Wisconsin's On The Job (OJT ) training program will provide valuable opportunities including a 100% give- back-in-trade services to the those less fortunate throughout the entire community. We are happy to partner with community organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Economic Community Development programs, and such.
