VEPAS

Marathon’s Polymer Activation System (VEPAS) is a non-mechanical unit designed to fully activate liquid polymer in a single pass with no need of mechanical agitation.

The activated polymer can be immediately added to the sludge or be stored in a tank for aging and/or future use.

VEPAS Manual

The manual VEPAS system is designed to be a simple, easy to use system. With its compact design, it can easily be transported to jobsites or used in a permanent installation. Many options are available to meet required operating parameters.

VEPAS Automatic

The automatic VEPAS system is designed as an integrated system to fully automate the wastewater treatment process. These systems are fully customizable based on operating requirements.

Touch screen controls are used on the automatic VEPAS to monitor status, modify system set-points and monitor alarms.

The peristaltic pump uses rollers to „push‰ polymer through a flexible tube. These types of pumps are low- maintenance, extremely reliable and include easy to use controls.

Optional Features

The booster pump options (BP & BF) are available to provide additional inlet water pressure when the supply pressure is not sufficient. The additional pressure will ensure proper polymer activation. The booster pump can be mounted directly on the polymer skid (BF option) or can be provided loose (BP option) for remote installation.

The optional epoxy coated steel frame (ES option) is available as a replacement for the standard thermoplastic frame (stainless steel also available). When mounting the booster pump on the frame (BF option), a steel or stainless steel frame must be used.

The motor starter options (MC & MF) provides a motor starter panel for the booster pump options. The motor starter panel can either be shipped loose or installed on the steel frame.

The paddle wheel flow meter (FM) option provides a method of monitoring and controlling the inlet water flow. The easy-to-read digital display provides an accurate flow rate. The flow rate can be adjusted manually using a globe valve.

The Magnetic Flow Meter option allows visual monitoring of the sludge flow (shipped loose for onsite installation). This is tied into the system PLC on automatic systems.

The TSS meter option provides a mean of monitoring the total suspended solids in the sludge. These measurements are used to ensure solids percentage is within the required specifications, or is tied into the PLC system to automatically adjust polymer dosage with changes to TSS value. (Shipped loose for onsite installation)
