VATSIM ASIA REGION REPORT Q4/2019
Executive Summary
2019 has been another successful year, if not the most successful so far, in terms of ATC training, new member registrations, online presence and vACC -
Division organization. VATSIM Asia is closing the year 2019, with Q4,2019 report and an annual statistic overview. Stability and uniformity across the Divisions
with increased member signup, many new ATC rated members, ATC training taking place at a large scale, as the highlights of this year. VATWA is fully working
as a Division and focuses on the structure of vACCs, primarily India. Small but steady steps. Situation is monitored. Still there are some positions under
recruitment. VATSEA’s best year 2019, with countless hours of online ATC training, new ATC and “Light up VATSEA”, an innovative idea to light up all FIRs with
focus city airports. A project/event which is regularly organized. Now, with a full staff board, we stay tuned for more! VATROC continues the tradition with
online events with neighboring FIRs, VATKOR too, and member training at some degree. VATJPN has showed strong online presence, together with VATSEA
and VATPRC. VATKOR amongst the leading Divisions with strong online presence, with 2 International, 6 Domestic events and an Iron Mic award. Operations
started also on Discord, shutting down TS3 server. There have been regular events across the Region in collaboration with neighboring FIRs, as well as new
member welcome events and sign ups. VATJPN pilot training department fully working and training is provided regularly. A milestone of 110 pilot rated
members (P1-P5) achieved! Within year 2019, the general activity of the Region has increased.
This year has been a milestone for Asia and for all Divisions. It is essential to remain united and stay as a strong team to achieve goals and this is what the
Divisions has showed to a large extent.
All members have received membership retention and guidance locally or by Regional staff in a timely manner.
We would like to heart warmly wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Thank you for all your support.
