VATSIM ASIA REGION REPORT Q3/2019
Executive Summary
VATSIM Asia is reporting a stable Q3 of 2019, with achievements on Iron Mic award across various Divisions and vACCs within the Region! VATSEA is planning
the next series of events “Light up South East Asia” including 2 airports as focus airports and all FIRs online. New ATC members make their appearance online
across many Divisions and also to places where some years ago ATC activity was reduced (ie. Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal). We continue to provide
support and guidance to all new members. VATWA recruits new staff members for the Division panel and India vACC is under restructure. A new director for
India vACC has been recruited through open application process. The site of VATWA has also a new fresh look. VATPRC and VATKOR leading this quarter with
major and weekly events, as well as training nights for new and old controllers. VATJPN also on the top list with “East Meets West” regular event and
numerous beginners’ events to welcome new members. VATROC shows good online activity with ATC coverage. Discussions with VATPRC, to create a
presentation of an FSS station for the Division.
There has been a small decrease on new member’s signup on this quarter, in comparison with previous quarter and adjacent quarter of 2018.
There have been transfers from/to Asia Region, especially with new members joining.
