GROWTH PROMOTIONFOR BROILERS
Varium promotes growth equivalent to antibiotics by reducing the level of intestinal pathogens and harmful biotoxins, while strengthening the intestinal barrier function of your birds to naturally resist disease. A healthy intestinal environment helps you maximize the efficiency of your nutritional program and improve profits. Even when your flock is challenged with bacterial outbreaks, such as necrotic enteritis, Varium targets and chemically bonds with the biotoxins produced by these bacteria to reduce their effects.
Varium Supports Weight GainEven with improved feed conversion, unchallenged birds fed Varium had weight gain similar to those fed BMD.
Varium Improves Feed ConversionFeeding Varium to broilers in an experiment with no challenge improved feed conversion to equal that of birds fed BMD (55 g/MT).
The unchallenged experiment was conducted at Life Science Dynamics, Inc., Mounds View, Minnesota, USA (2015). The experiment ran from day of hatch to 28 days of age. The BMD treatment contained 55 g/MT of bacitracin.

Varium Improved Feed ConversionBirds fed Varium and challenged with Clostridium perfringens to induce Necrotic Enteritis had feed conversion equal to the unchallenged control birds or challenged birds fed BMD.
Varium Protects the Intestinal BarrierVarium protected against Clostridium perfringens induced Necrotic Enteritis lesions (areas of intestinal necrosis).
The challenged experiment was conducted at Southern Poultry Research, Inc Athens, Georgia, USA (2015). It started day of hatch and lasted for 28 days. All birds received coccidia challenge on day 14 and challenged birds received Clostridium perfringens challenge on days 19, 20, and 21. The BMD treatment contained 55 g/MT of bacitracin.
