UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS MEDICAL CENTRE, TORONTO

This eight-storey commercial develop-ment consists of professional and medical offices on the upper levels with retail on the lower levels. The 180,000 sq ft building also includes a three-level underground parking.

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO RAMSAY WRIGHT TEACHING LABS RENOVATION

Varcon Construction is a prequalified General Contractor for the University of Toronto (UofT). As a result of an Invitation to Bid process, Varcon was awarded this exciting new project in May 2015. It consists of laboratory and office renovation with a total area just under 60,000 sq ft.

CANADIAN FORCES LAND ADVANCED WARFARE CENTRE

This project consists of a highly specialized training complex for the military. The total building area is approximately 145,000 sq ft and is composed of structural steel curtain wall, concrete foundations and mezzanine.

SQUARE ONE PARK & RIDE GO STATION

This new station is located just north of Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga. It will improve customers experience with State-of-the-art commuter facilities, complete with extra parking.

NIAGARA REGIONAL POLICE HEADQUARTERS

Varcon Construction recently completed the structural formwork and concrete placing for the new Niagara Regional Police Headquarters.

Construction of this new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) began in January 2015. The first

major concrete pour consists of a large raft slab and took 11 hours to place over 1200m3 of concrete. Owner: Regional Municipality of Niagara

COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT AT 170 NORTH QUEEN

This project involves construction of new and renovation of existing building into an upscale retail plaza. It will be the new homes of Michaels, DSW, Pier 1 Imports, along with many others.

KING SQUARE INTERNATIONAL RETAIL SHOPPING CENTRE & HOTEL COMPLEX

This 345,000 sq ft three-storey complex, con-sists of retail, office, restaurants, rooftop garden and a two-level underground parking. A 4-star hotel will connect to this spectacular new shopping centre.

OAK PARK CONDOMINIUM

Varcon finished all formwork and concrete placing for a new condominium development located in Oakville, Ontario.

I N F R A S T R U C T U R E D I V I S I O NRECONSTRUCTION OF HWY 25 FROM LOWER BASE LINE TO BRITANNIA ROAD INCLUDING TRUNK SEWER

This project is well underway and consists of installing a new sewer trunk main which extends for over 3.2 km. The project specifications called for the installation of 2100mm diameter concrete pipe approximately 20m below grade. On May 1st, the crew celebrated the first 100 pipes installed.

HEART LAKE COMMUNITY RECYCLING CENTRE GRAND OPENING

On April 18th , the Region of Peel celebrated the Grand Opening of the Heart Lake state-of-the-art Community Recycling Centre.

Varcon is very proud to be a team member in the construction of this spectacular facility, which is helping the Brampton community save energy and resources.

CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENTS

On May 22nd, Varcon Construction sponsored the Region of Peel Golf Tournament in support of United Way.

On May 29th , Varcon sponsored the Dialog 9th Annual Charity Golf Classic in support of CAMH Foundation. Invited speaker, Ron Ellis, a former Maple Leaf player, who suffered from Depression, offered a remarkable and heartfelt speech.
