What is an Enterprise Directory Service (eDS)?

An Enterprise Directory contains critical customization information for people, processes, resources and groups (on-campus and off)

An identity management system is an integral component of an eDS. It contains processes and infrastructure for the creation, maintenance and retirement of UserIDs and accounts (Uwin ID).
