Using Microsoft Wordto create a logo
Open a new document
On the menu bar:click on Insertmove down to Picturemove across to Clip Artclick on Clip Art
You can select a piece of clip art
by searching
by category
by type
You can find more images on the Internet
1. Scroll through the clips
2. Click on the chosen clip
3. Click here to enter image onto the page
Go back a screen
Return to the opening page
Exit ClipArt when finished
Microsoft Word regards the image as a text character
To enable free movement, change the text wrapping
Image will appear on the page with the picture toolbar
Explore Picture Toolbar
To change the picture:right click on the image and select Edit Picture from the menu.
The screen will change to an edit picture screen.Look for the title in the title bar.
The image is composed of many components.Select one item.
Right click for menu.Select Format AutoShape …
Use the drop down menu to select a colour.
Repeat for each component.
When editing is finished, click on Close Picture to return to the Word document.
Use WordArt to add text to the logo
1. Select the required style
2. Enter the required text
3. Select required font
4. Click OK when finished
1. Use the Toolbar to alter the appearance of the text 2. Resize text
3. Place text on top of image
4. Select both objects by holding down the shift key and clicking on the object
5. Group the objects using the Group option from the Draw menu
6. Text and image can now be moved and resized as one object
1. Select AutoShapes, choose Oval from Basic Shapes menu
2. Right click for menu. Fill in with suitable colour
3. Move oval over logo
4. Move the oval behind the logo by using the Order menu from the Draw menu
