The Toreros swept the Broncos - 6-5, 4-2, and 12-4 - to open their conference season. The Toreros are hit-ting a remarkable .330 on the season and are led by preseason All-American, Kris Bryant (.406, 8 HRs, 33 RBI). The Toreros lead the WCC in runs (188), hits (307), doubles (60), home runs (19), and walks (98).

LAST TIMe VS. SAN DIeGo: The Dons fell in a 12-8 contest on May 8, 2011. LeMasters and Connor Bernatz both homered, but Kris Bryant and Zack Kometani both drove in four runs apiece to give San Diego the series victory, 2-1.

LAST THRee YeARS: The Toreros own a 6-3 advantage over the Dons over the past three years. Last year, USF won the series opener on May 6, 2011 by a score of 4-3, but San Diego bounced back winning the final pair of games - 7-5 and 12-8. In 2010, USD swept the Dons in a three game set. However, USF won the three-game series in 2009, winning the final two games of the series - 14-5 and 9-1.
