     – DRO units communicate directly with the Consul General’s office

    in coordinating special case removals.

    Immediately Prior to Removal• Manifest faxed to INM at least 20 minutes prior to removal.

    • If special interest case is coming from another location, the

    What Else has Happened

    this Week?• ICE participated in the following law

    enforcement operations in El Paso

    • The Office of the Procuradora General has identified a person in the United

    States who is wanted in Mexico. That person was removed through El

    Paso/Juarez and his custody was turned over to proper authorities.

    • The Bureau of Prisons conducted a Treaty Transfer, of 35 Citizens of Mexico

    serving time in US prisons to Mexico for completion of Sentence.

    The Future

    • The Department of Homeland Security of theUnited States and the Secretariat of Governance of

    the United Mexican States are ready to test a

    template for the orderly repatriation of Citizens of

    Mexico and the United States throughout theUnited States in El Paso, TX and in Chicago IL.

    WHY?

    • This is one aspect of the Trilateral Agreement between the

    United States Mexico and Canada to ensure the Safety of

    all of North America. The Orderly Repatriation of our

    citizens and communications sharing is essential to oursafety.
