WATER SUPPLYWATER SUPPLY• Muzaffarabad. Main water sup 90% restored.
• 20 x Water Points for drinking water functional since 12 Oct
• 8 x Water Purification plants (3xAustrian, 2x German, 1x Canadian, 1x So-Safe and 1x IRC) installed – total capacity 5,10,000 liters per day
• Water pumping system installed – supply of water through 8x bowzers
• Existing water treatment plant (4 MGD) has started functioning.
• 3 Pumping stations are made functional
• Bagh. Supply upto main tank restored. Water supply in cantt and surrounding area restored. Repair of distribution lines in city in progress – presently water being supplied through 5 x bowzers
• Rawalakot. Normal water supply restored
• Balakot. Water being supplied through 5x bowzers & 3x filtration plants. 1x water treatment plant (3 - 5 lac lits per day) in collaboration with Austria and Sweden has been installed and started functioning.

Note: 1. In addition to above, 03 Girls Colleges, one at Battagram and two in District Mansehra are under construction. Out of these under constriction colleges, the college at Balakot has completely be damaged.
2. The colleges opened in the buildings are also partially / badly damaged, where academic activities have been started in open as well as in classrooms. The administration of Govt: College Battagram has not been provided tents in spite of the repeated requests, whereas the building has been damaged.
