FREEZE PROTECTION SHALL BE PROVIDED IN SUCH A MANNER THAT IT WILL LAST THE LIFETIME OF THE VALVE. 6. ALL VALVES CONTROLLING THE FLOW OF WATER THROUGH A PRIVATE FIRE SERVICE MAIN SUPPLYING WATER FOR AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS SHALL BE ELECTRICALLY SUPERVISED WHEN REQUIRED BY THE 2012 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE. WHEN REQUIRED, VALVE SUPERVISION AND TROUBLE SIGNALS SHALL BE CONNECTED TO A FIRE ALARM PANEL FOR RETRANSMISSIONS TO AN APPROVED CENTRAL STATION. 7. ALL FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTIONS (FDC) FOR FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS SHALL BE LOCATED WITHIN 100 FEET OF FIRE HYDRANT. 8.
