The University of Nebraska awarded its prestigious Regents Medal to Ruth and Bill Scott on June 11, 2009 for their transformational gifts and service to the university. In part, their support has included lead gifts for the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza, Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education, the Center for Nursing Science, the Harold M. and Beverly Maurer Center for Public Health, the College of Pharmacy-Center for Drug Discovery, the Durham Research Center, the Durham Research Center II, and the Nebraska Arthritis Outcomes Research Center. These gifts have touched every UNMC College in Omaha and opened pathways to excellence and opportunity for each student.
