1. Educational Excellence UofL commits to the “double the

numbers” plan: Increasing the number of baccalaureate

degrees awarded each year from 2,328 in 2007 to 3,074 – 746 increase

Some enrollment growth Improving 6-year graduation rate from 44%

in 2007 to 60.4% -- another 37% increase Increasing the number of transfer students

from 1,249 to 1,730/year – 481 increase

1. Educational Excellence UofL will improve the learning environment

and promote student success by: Growing its faculty by 373 by 2020 Improving the student/tenure-track faculty ratio

from 21.4 -1 to 15-1 Increasing percentage of on-campus students

from 20% to 35% Offering PhDs in 23 new areas, such as

bioethics, neurosciences, justice administration, meteorology (UPS)

Increasing PhD graduates from 144 to 350 – 206 increase
