Ambulance Services Collective Bargaining Act

Essential ambulance services agreement required: An employer and a trade union who are bound by a collective agreement or who are negotiating a first collective agreement shall negotiate an essential ambulance services agreement. 2001, c. 10, s. 3 (1).



Sample Language:During this work stoppage, twenty (20) PCPs and two (2) ACPs will be required to continue working to provide essential services for the Service. These twenty-two (22) Paramedics will be called in based on their placement on the Seniority List, with the most senior called in first.

•Ambulances shall respond to all Code #3 and Code #4 calls in accordance with all normal procedures.•Code #2 Calls shall be performed when a delayed or missed treatment can adversely affect the patient’s condition or well being. •Code #1 routine deferrable transfer requests will not be booked or responded to for the duration of the legal strike.
