Polish Cuisine

The Polish Presidency is a great opportunity to promote Polish cuisine. One of the Polish's leading chefs, Adam Chrząstkowski, is overseeing the creation of an exquisite menu of Polish dishes that are based on Poland's native ingredients. The dishes will be served on high-level meeting in Poland and Brussels. Foreign delegations and journalists visiting Poland during the Presidency will also receive a collection of recipes for Polish dishes that was specially prepared by 16 chefs, including three professionals from outside Poland, who work on a daily basis in the best Polish restaurants. The starting point for each recipe is an ingredient that is commonly associated with Polish cuisine (e.g. herring, cucumber, groats, poppy seed and venison). Each recipe is preceded by a comprehensible description, including its cultural context, for foreigners who are unfamiliar with the Polish cuisine. The publication is enhanced by modern illustrations.
