➢ UJJAINENGINEERING COLLEGE, UJJAIN formerly known asGovt. Engineering College, Ujjain was established in 1966 byGovt. of M.P. with a view to improve the technical education inthe region of Malwa and in the country as a whole .
➢ The college was declared autonomous by the state Govt. in theyear 1997. Under this arrangement it is governed by a GoverningBody, whose Chairman is Honorable minister (Department ofTechnical Education and Training, Govt. of M.P.) and Secretary isPrincipal, EngineeringCollege,Ujjain.
➢ UEC Ujjain has been granted academic autonomy by RGTUBhopal in 2010.Now the institute is having own boards of studiesfor various disciplines and we have designed our own syllabussuited to current industrial needs. All the valuation work anddeclaration of results is now exercised at the institute level andtherefore UEC Ujjain is now following the academic calendartimely.
➢ This college has produced quality graduate engineers indifferent branches of engineering who have been absorbed inalmost all the major public sectors and private sectors industriesof the country since the students graduation commenced in theyear 1971 (firstbatch).
➢ The feedback confirms the excellent track record of highorganizations. Many of its alumni are rendering their services tocountries likeUSA,UK,Canada, France, Australia etc.
➢ The all India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhihas recognized it since its inception as a recognizedengineering college with full participation in all the activities ofAICTE.
➢ The institute has strong infrastructural facilities which is coupledwith excellent faculty members (mostly PG’s and Ph.D‘s fromvarious I.I.T’s and N.I.T’s) to support the cause of impartingtechnical education to budding engineers.
➢ The Post Graduate courses (running in Civil Engg., MechanicalEngg., and Chemical Engg. departments) and PhD’s researchwork in various departments adds further excellence ininculcating the research environment amongst facultymembers and students.
➢ The college is an object of pride for technical education ofMadhya Pradesh.
➢ The college had been given the grant of around Rs. 5 Crores byWorld Bank Project (Govt. of India) under Technical EducationQuality Improvement Program (T.E.Q.I.P) for the period from 2004to 2009 which has further strengthened its position in the nationalscenario.

The total percentage of placement was 73%on 60percent criteriawith an average annual package of 2.85LPA.
The institute has organized Training and Placement Cell equipped with allthe facilities. Two seminar halls of 150 capacity each are equipped withLCD projectors, sound system and AC Are available for presentationpurpose. We have 300 desktop computers with latest configurations andwell equipped computer labs with in the main academic building.
