The film is Bankrolled by TD Raja of Chenthur Film Interna- tional, the yet-to-be-titled film has music by Uru-fame Jo- han, and NS Uthayakumar in charge of cinematography. This will be Vijay Antony’s second political thriller after Yeman (2017). This is yet another addition to the impressive lineup of films in Vijay Antony’s kitty. Re- cently seen in Andrew Louis’ Kolaigaaran, the actor also has Moodar Koodam Naveen’s Agni Siragugal, which also stars Arun Vijay. The Saithan actor is set to don the khaki once again after last year’s Thimiru Pudichavan in Babu Yogeshwaran’s Tamizha- rasan, which has music by Ilaiyaraaja. Archibald Thorburn V.V.S.Manian Archibald orburn was a Scottish painter and bird illustrator. His paintings are mostly in water colour. He is the world’s greatest wildlife artist ofall times. He spent his time visiting the forest of Gaick near Kingussie in Invernesshire and painting the birds in their natural habitat. Even by the age of 30 in 1890, he was regarded as the best in Britain. Archibald orburn was born in Lasswade near Edinburgh on 31st May 1860. He was the fiſth son of Robert Thorburn, the leading miniaturist painter of thattime, and Queen Victoria admired his works. He was also a favourite of both Edward VII and King George. Young Archibald received his early training from his father. Even as a child Thorburn showed exceptional artistic talent, and by age 12, he was producing some astounding watercolours, and pen and ink drawings. It was in 1882, that Thorburn’s first coloured plates appeared in W F Sways lands “Familiar Wild Birds”. His last paintings were posthumously published in 1927 in Archer& Goldman’s “e Birds of British Somaliland and the Gulf of Aden”. The monumental work he carried out for Lord Lilford between 1885-98, in which he completed 268 superlative water-colours of coloured figures of the birds of British islands made him the best and finest artist of the world. orburn first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1880 and continued to do so until 1900. By this time, he had difficulty to see and decided to focus more upon illustrative work and private commissions. In 1896, he married Constance Mudle and they had one son, Philip Archibald. orburn moved to Hascombe in 1902 and lived a quiet life recording scene of wildlife set amongst the countryside. Thorburn designed the first Christmas card for the Royal Society for protection of Birds in 1899. He died on October 9,1935 in Hascombe, UK. His works are held in collection of the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, WY and the Fleming Collection in London. Actress Saman- tha was last seen in Kollywood in Thiagarajan Ku- mararaja’s Super Deluxe. The film also had Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin and Gayathrie, in the star cast. The film received posi- tive reviews from the critics and has been winning awards at film festivals. Now, Samantha will have another release in Tamil and the movie will be released on August 15. She will be seen in the dubbed version of her Telugu hit movie, Oh Baby. The film, directed by Nandini Reddy, will have the same title in Tamil, too. The film, a fantasy entertainer is the remake of Miss Granny, a Korean movie. The film has Lakshmi, Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh, Naga Shaurya, Ur- vasi, and Jagapathi Babu. Mickey J Meyer is the mu- sic composer. Samantha’s ‘Oh Baby’ to hit theatres on August 15 SRK, Anushka Sharma set to produce new Netflix originals Netflix unveiled its new slate of Original se- ries, with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma attached as producers on two different projects. It is said that over the next twelve months, it will launch BombayBegums, Mai, Betaal, Messy and Masaba Masaba. According to Netflix, Shah Rukh’s Red Chil- lies Entertainment will produce zombie horror, Betaal, while Anushka and Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films will producers Mai. Shah Rukh’s Betaal, which also marks the actor’s second collaboration with Netflix is produced by Blumhouse, is set in a remote village that becomes the theatre of a breathless battle when a two-century-old Betaal, a British Indian Army officer, and his battalion of zom- bie redcoats are unleashed. With Indian police pitted against the undead army, hapless villagers are trapped in a horrific conflict. Betaal comes from Red Chillies Entertainment, in collabora- tion with Ghoul’s Patrick Graham as writer, director and showrunner, along with Nik Mai revolves around 47-year-old wife-and- mother, Sheel, who finds herself accidentally sucked into a rabbit hole of violence and power, following a personal tragedy. The series is penned by Atul Mongia along with Tamal Sen, Amita Vyas, with Sudip Sharma as a creative producer. On speaking about this Anushka said that “This is my second collaboration with Netflix after Bulbul and we are again looking to disrupt the kind of content audiences are consuming. We at Clean Slate Films have been dedicated to mak- ing clutter-breaking, powerful stories since our first production and we are looking forward to push the content envelope. The creative freedom to be able to translate these stories to screens that reach a global audience is exciting for us, which is why Netflix is such an important partner”. According to Dead- line, the duo were court- ed by WarnerMedia, their previous home HBO’s forthcoming digital plat- form, Amazon, Disney and Netflix when the epic fantasy drama was nearing its finale. Sources said the agree- ment is in the 9-figure range like those of previ- ously signed by creators like Shonda Rhimes and Ryan Murphy with Net- flix. Benioff and Weiss are expected to write, pro- duce and direct new se- ries and movies for the streaming platform under an overall global deal. “We are thrilled to welcome master story- tellers David Benioff and Dan Weiss to Netflix.
