Swimming Age Champions Our swimming age champions have finally received their medallions from the TPPS carnival in February. All other awards were handed out in March. Thank you for being patient! Anne Cowell Swimming Coordinator

Sports Desk

New seating has been installed in the top playground under the trees. This allows students to sit in the shade and watch activities that are occurring in the playground. These seats were donated by 2019 Year 6's using the money they raised from their mini Fete held in November last year.

As you can see they are used often and appreciated by the current students at TPPS.

Good morning TPPS families

As Term 2 draws to a close at TPPS, we are working at returning to a Term 3 model which will be starting to look a bit more like what schools were doing pre-COVID-19.

During Term 3 the following events/routines may resume with slight changes addressing health and hygiene guidelines and protocols:

• Non-denominational and Catholic Scripture education• K-2 and 3-6 assemblies - capped at 15 minutes in length. No visitors to attend.• Incursions and day excursions supporting curriculum outcomes – Gymnastics, Life Education Van, Riverina Environmental Education Centre• External service providers supporting student learning (health professionals, counsellors)• Inter-school events external to school – gala days, debating tournaments, Yr 6 to 7 placement tests, Yr 5 Opportunity class assessments• Peer support activities K-6

The following events/routines are still under consideration:

• Interstate and overnight excursions (TPPS have cancelled these for Term 3)• Whole school awards assemblies• Non-essential visitors to school (parents/volunteers – except in canteen)

Thank you for continuing to respect our ‘gates’ and the processes we have in place to make sure non-essential adults are not in our classrooms or playgrounds. It is strong evidence of the trust and relationship our school and wider community have with each other.

THANK YOU for encouraging your little people to come to school every day. It has been difficult getting back to school after the COVID-19 restriction in place earlier and our attendance data was concerning for a while (Approx 40-45 students away every day!). For the last five school days we have had around 25 students away each day and mostly due to sickness. This is an important time for reconnecting with each other, assessment, reporting and goal setting, so we need our little people here.

Thank you for your continued patience regarding our school restrictions.

Have a great week
