What is ASP?
The YMCA afterschool program gives working parents peace
of mind by providing supervised care for their children by a
professional staff team. ASP practices the 4 YMCA core values:
caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all of our activi-
ties. We provide indoor/outdoor activities, homework time, arts
and crafts, games, and much more. A healthy snack is provided.
This program is licensed through the Texas Department of
Family and Protective Services.
The YMCA ASP serves all SAISD schools with on-site care.
Reagan and Wall Elementary are bussed to the Y.
DAY CAMPS During school breaks, on days the Y is open we offer full day camps from 7:00am - 6:00pm. Registration and fees are sepa-rate from the afterschool program.

PRE-SCHOOL
Children ages 3 - 5 participate in fun and engaging educational programming while taking advantage of all the
YMCA has to offer. Get Ready For Kindergarten at the Y! Students will rotate between three classrooms focusing
on Science and Art, Education, and Music and Social Development. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack will be
provided along with nap time. Classroom time will take place in the morning with after school activities in the af-
ternoon. Pre-school is available Monday - Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm
Please call the YMCA for availability.
KIDS NIGHT OUT Parents, take the night off! Drop your kids off at the Y for an evening on your own. Kids will swim, be served din-ner, play games and watch movies. KNO occurs on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.

Looking for an activity to help your child grow?
With a variety of activities available for students 1st grade and older, the YMCA is your one stop spot
for summer activities.
YOUTH BASKETBALL

AQUATICS AQUATICS AT THE Y
Come in from the cool weather and let us teach your child to swim!
SWIM LESSONS
PARENT/CHILD LESSONS
Parent/Child classes are designed not only to introduce infants to water but to teach parents simple ways to continue
their child’s progression throughout their younger years.
PRESCHOOL AQUATICS PROGRAM
Our Preschool class is designed to help children feel comfortable in the water. Time in the water will consist of very
basic swim skills and a variety of swim games.
PROGRESSIVE LEVEL CLASSES
Participants in YMCA swim level classes progress through the YMCA program learning new skills at their own pace.
Each child’s progression is kept on record and once he/she meets the requirements they advance to the next level.
Some skills in no particular order include:
Rotary Breathing, Deep Water Bobbing, and Dolphin Kicks
Sessions are as follows:

ASHI FIRST AID & CPR TRAINING

Classes are held Wednesday @ 6:00pm and Saturday at 8:00am.
Classes limited to 5 students per class
Large group classes of 10 students available, $500.00 per group
Classes are scheduled at a convenient time for the group and instructor.

Yoga- Yoga class with the addition of props, to help you achieve proper alignment, and steady movements.

Cycling- If your body is screaming for an early morning ride, come join this high intensity stationary cycling class.
Upper body/Low Impact Step Combo- A class for those who want a variation workout on the boxes. This step class focuses on all aspects of your body including cardio, defining your muscles and reshaping your body.

What is ActivTrax?
ActivTrax is a tool that creates customized workouts around your goals, strength and fitness experi-
ence. Each time you visit the Y, you will receive a new and customized workout that tells you exactly
what you need to do to get in shape.
How does ActivTrax work?
Getting started with ActivTrax is easy.
1. Get Started: Take your strength test.
Once you have scheduled your appointment with the YMCA front desk staff you will be given a strength
test by a trained YMCA fitness staff member.
2. Enter your results
Use the kiosk conveniently located in the YMCA fitness center or log-on to activtrax.com to enter your
results online from any web-based computer or smartphone.
3. Print & Workout
Everytime you finish a workout, just enter what you did online . ActivTrax automatically creates your
next workout. All you have to do is hit “Print”.
It's easy, it’s fun and it’s free!
ActivTrax is online and available to use anywhere you have internet access, even at home.
Speak with the Y’s knowledgeable fitness staff to learn more about ActivTrax and signup TODAY!
To help monitor your fitness goals and health objectives, specialized fitness testing such
BMI, body measurement, etc. will be offered to those who enroll in ActivTrax.

1,000,000 Cardio Calorie Count
In TEXAS we do it BIG and the San Angelo YMCA is doing the same by taking calorie counting to a whole new lev-
el. Track your daily caloric expenditure at the front desk, along with every other participant. Once the Y has col-
lectively burned 1,000,000 calories all participants will be invited to celebrate.

To The Limit Strength Club
The YMCA has challenged all members to join the NEW Weight Club. Participants have to successfully perform a one repetition max on the bench press, squat, and deadlift with correct form for a combined total of 500+ pounds for women, 300+ pounds for women 50 years and older, 1000+ pounds for men and 750+ pounds for men 50 years and older. Once this is completed all participants will receive a t-shirt and their picture on the “To The Limit Strength Club” wall.
Must be 19 years and older to test.
Next Testing Date September 9 - 11
Visit any wellness center attendant to test out.
Wacoal’s FIT FOR THE CURE
On Wednesday, October 1 from 5:00pm - 7:30pm Dillard’s lingerie department will be hosting a free bra fitting in the YMCA women’s locker room. On this day, you can help Dillard’s fight breast cancer by having one of their cer-tified fitters fit you into the perfect Wacoal or b.tempted bras. For each fit Wacoal will donate $2.00 in your name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
To continue the fight against breast cancer, Wacoal will donate and additional $2.00 for each bra purchased on the day of the event.
Party in Pink
Help support the fight against breast cancer as we party in pink. With 2 hours of Zumba you are guaranteed to leave feeling great. The party in pink event will be led by Johnathan Bockman and other YMCA Zumba instructors. Proceeds from this event are donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

YMCA Bus Pull
Are you looking for an unconventional, fun way to test your strength?? This
is the event that will bring out that strongman/strongwoman you. The YMCA
will be hosting a strongman competition event to see how quickly you can pull
a YMCA bus from point A to point B. Equipment will be provided, all we ask is
you to bring the muscle.
Come out and show off all of the hard work that you put in at the gym. The
event will be held in November along the Concho River.

NEW ! PRE-TEEN FITNESS ORIENTATION
Is your child interested in lifting weights, or simply looking for guidance on proper lifting technique, safe-
ty concerns or common courtesies that should be followed while in the weight room? Our new fitness
orientation is the answer you have been looking for.
This is a 3 hour class designed to solve those issues. Once the class has been completed those between the
ages of 10 - 13 will be allowed in the fitness center with parental supervision. A fitness card will be issued to
those.

MEMBERSHIP Why Join?
As a member, you get more than just a great workout! The Y provides a healthy, safe and caring environ-
ment where you can enjoy activities with friends and family. The atmosphere at the Y also cultivates
strength, instills core values and brings back balance to many lives.
All new members are required to pay the joining fee and pro-rated first month’s dues upon registration.
All monthly payments MUST be made by automatic bank draft from a checking or savings account. A voided
check or letter from the bank is required to set up the draft.
Un-renewed memberships in excess of 30 days will require another joining fee to be paid upon renewal.
The YMCA accepts payment by cash, check, money order, VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.
Members may add an adult, living in the home, to any Family or Single Parent
Family membership for an extra $21.00 a month. Proof of residency is required.
Guest Fees
Non-Members of the San Angelo YMCA may use the facility and attend classes as a guest.
Guests accompanied by a YMCA member pay a fee of $5.00 per visit.
Those guests not accompanied by a YMCA member pay a fee of $5.00 for youth/students and $7.00 for adults.
This fee gives all guests member privileges for the day and full access to the facility. All guests must sign-in
and provide photo I.D.
Y Member Child Watch
Children between the ages of 12 weeks to 12 years are welcome in the child watch area. Each child is allowed to
stay up to 2 hours. Child watch is a free service to Y Members. Please have your membership card to verify active
membership. Non-Members may purchase a child watch pass for $2.00/day.
