Description:
Calcite occurs as tessellating, moderate to weakly sutured, equigranular crystals. Crystals have an average grainsize of approximately 1 mm and show no obvious preferred dimensional orientation or banding. Calcite is devoid of opaque inclusions and has a low fluid inclusion density. There are no strongly coloured hydrocarbon fluid inclusions.
Limonite occurs as extremely rare interstitial inclusions and stains on calcite grains.
