TÜV AUSTRIA MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

The first TÜV AUSTRIA Management Program, forged in close partnership between TÜV AUSTRIA Akademie and HuMan Bulgaria Institute for Humanistic Management, incorporates the TÜV AUSTRIA Akademie’s know-how and is adapted to the needs of the Bulgarian market. The program is dedicated to managers and employees with technical and engineering profile.

The main goal of the Program is to provide management training, enlarging and developing the leadership and the management expertise of the participants. The attendees are introduced to key concepts of economics, law and marketing in order to enhance their communication and customer relationship skills and to gain insight into the project management and people development models and practices. The Program is in Bulgarian and an interpretation services will be provided for the international guest tutors.

The Program is elaborated taking into account the current and future demands of the industry and the economy. The tutors are acting and successful business people with proven hands-on experience on numerous business sectors. They are ready and willing to share their knowledge, skills and learnings from their practice. The Program duration is four months and the modules will be held in a total of seventeen training days and one certification day. The Program’s graduates will be awarded with a Certificate issued by TÜV AUSTRIA, the highly renowned international certification and monitoring group, belonging to the top institutions for independent certification.

PRE-SESSION STAGE

HILL Competence Analysis© Powered in cooperation with HILL Management Bulgaria

HILL Competence Analysis© is objective and integrated system with modular structure. The Personality profile output visualizes individual potential and contains description of the personality according to 12 interdisciplinary personality dimensions like - ability to cope with pressure, goal and conflict management or communication style. The Profile is in Bulgarian and takes within approx. 45 minutes. Individual feedback session enables deeper understanding of the outcome and by this supports the further career development.

PROGRAM SESSION STAGE

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

Introducing the participants to fundamental principles of strategic planning, the goal of the module is to expand their abilities to develop strategies in their own field of work by knowing and fostering the visions and goals of the Company. Through understanding of the structures and processes in the organization as well as the importance of internal and external communication, participants can develop their crisis management skills and take appropriate measures in emergency situations. Participants are further introduced to relevant examples from the international and local practice as well as to the impact of corporate identity of the organization image.

BUSINESS LAW I & II

The goal of the law modules is to introduce the participants to law fundamentals that are necessary for business operations. Basic terms from civil law, scope and application of organizational and commercial law as well as important concepts from the field of intellectual property and competition build the foundation of the modules. Understanding the basics of administrative law and its impact on the organization along with various types of contracts are further aims of those parts of the Program. Moreover, participants gain knowledge of processes and tools of public procurement and of the application of norms and technical standards.

BUSINESS ECONOMICS & CONTROLLING

Participants are introduced to basic economic concepts, relations and methods of measurement. The goal is to understand and apply the fundamental principles of short-, mid- and long-term organizational planning as well as to elaborate business plans. Terms like monthly and annual reports and financial statements are the focus of the module along with the principles of pricing and offering. Furthermore, participants gain knowledge about the methods of controlling and application of controlling tools and instruments.

MARKETING & CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

The aim of this module is to provide insight into marketing fundamentals and techniques as well as into ways of dealing with customers. The impact of lobbying and maintaining contacts are presented along with key rules for communicating with customers. Methods of introducing and presenting the company are also discussed. Various marketing tools and models of market surveys as well as the development of marketing plans and the evaluation of its effectiveness are some of the key concepts that this module deals with. By understanding of the importance of consumer behaviour for targeted marketing and the ways to present the benefits of the product to the client, participants will be able to evaluate different cases and to make practical use of them.

TIME AND STRESS MANAGEMENT & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Participants are introduced to the positive impacts of an effective time management. The module deals with key concepts like prioritizing, delegating and differentiating activities according to their urgency and importance. Furthermore, participants gain knowledge about various models to reduce and to cope with stress. Another aim of the module is to present the basics of project management and the application of project management methods. Participants acquire knowledge about the ways to structure projects and to prepare project documentation. The goal is the elaboration of effective project plans with consideration of costs, resources and time.

SEARCH AND SELECTION, PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT & BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

The module deals with the basics of human resources planning and development and suggests ways to improve the communication abilities. Participants are introduced to different methods of recruitment and gain knowledge about interviewing techniques. Techniques of building a profile of a position and preparing job descriptions are also discussed. The module focuses on the importance of people development and presents different tools and their application. A further aim of the module is to develop the interpersonal communication skills in respect to relations with customers and colleagues. The improvement of organizational communication and the application of communication techniques in conflict situations are key aspects of the module.

TÜV AUSTRIA CERTIFICATION

The participants prepare a thesis on a subject from the Program and present it in the Certification module before a Board of managers and experts. The participants and the board discuss the results and the corresponding topics from the Program. The subject of the final paper is based on the modules’ content and is determined in coordination between the project team and the participant. It includes generally development of a business plan or an analysis of the current case in the company of the participant.5

POST SESSION STAGE

INTERCULTURAL MANAGEMENT

The tendency for internationalization of the contemporary business imposes some new models of corporate management, that lead to better functioning of the multinational companies. It also contains a comparative analysis of some national models of management that highlight both the specific patterns of managing multinational/multicultural teams and the special requirements for their leaders.

MANAGING UNDERPERFORMANCE

Participants are enabled to recognize the aims and results of performance management and how to deal with underperformance. Furthermore, participants gain knowledge about “What to do first”, how, when and why.

CLEOFE GUARDIGLI, M.A. Certified in the body of official experts of the Italian Ministry of Industry as well as certified in the body of official experts of the Trainers of Civil Service – Presidency of Council of Ministries, Italy, Cleofe Guardigli is a Vice President of the Observatory on European Programs and Funds of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria. More than 30 years professional expertise combining experience in the field of employment, entrepreneurship and regional development, she is versed in training and counselling, with solid knowledge in training needs analysis, elaboration and delivery of training in area of employment, entrepreneurship and talent development.

DANIELA KONOVA, M.SC. Daniela Konova is Executive Director of HuMan Institute for humanistic Management, Bulgaria. Through more than 20 years experience in managing projects in the field of project management, business and strategic planning in the financial sector. She has spent most of her professional career in the financial industry. As a trainer and consultant, she has courses and seminars at universities and corporate training programs.

GORAN STARCEVIC, DI, M.SC. DI, M.sc. Goran Starcevic is managing director of PALFINGER Produktionstechnik Bulgarien. He is graduated mechanical engineer and master of science in economy, with over than 20 years management experience in international corporations. M.sc. Starcevic is certificated project and lean manager; in his professional and business practice the focus is on industry development and on continuously improvement of business processes by managing projects with international teams.

KAMELIYA VELICHKOVA, M.A., PH.D. Member of European Association of Communication Directors and of Bulgarian Association for Public Relations, Kameliya Velichkova, Ph.D in philosophy and Master in international business relations, has extensive experience in managing projects in the field of Intercultural and interreligious relations, marketing research in FMCG sector, strategic planning, marketing communications, brand building, marketing and public relations in the financial sector.

KIRO KIROV, LLM Kiro Kirov is a lawyer with over 11 years experience in the field of Commercial Law; Securities; Banks and Bank Law; Mergers and Acquisitions; International Corporate and Commercial Law; Joint Ventures; Foreign Investments; Privatization. Being a certified lawyer, he was a partner in one of the biggest law firms in Bulgaria and a Managing partner in a leading Austian law firm.

LIUBKA STOILKOVA, M.A. A lawyer with profound experience in the field of banking law, commercial law, corporate law and AML/CTF law. Multinational companies and foreign banks have been advised by her for more 20 years. Her main focus is compliance of activities of legal entities with the requirements of the provisions of the legislation in force, establishment of high legal standards and culture in the business relations, assessment and management of reputation risk, achievement of the business goals through implementation of the Bulgarian legal framework, the Directives of the European Union and the best practices.

MILA GEORGIEVA, M.A. Being one of the first professional Human resources managers in Bulgaria, Mila Georgieva has extensive experience in managing projects in the field of selection and recruitment, project management, training, performance management, employee relations and internal communication, facilitation, business planning, change management, coaching and people development. DR. OTHMAR HILL Dr. Othmar Hill is Founder and President of the human resources and management consulting company HILL International. His main focus is business psychology consulting, leadership development and career planning, management support, new work worlds and strategic planning. Dr. Hill advises the Austrian Chamber of Commerce on matters regarding international transfer of know-how. He is the inventor of the “humanistic management”, “Management on Tour” as well as “HILL Window” for corporate culture. Dr. Hill is the author of the books “The End of Mass Treatment: Humanistic Management in Accelerated Times” and “The Cartel of Mediocrity: the Conspiracy of the Narrow Minded”.

TATJANA CHOCHEVA, M.A. Tatjana Chocheva is an expert in marketing and product management of technical products with 20 years experience. She led successfully brand building, product launches and implementation of sales and service strategies in international companies. Her focus is on communication, customer orientation and sales promotion, even in multi-level organizations.

DR. TODOR SHELJASKOW, M.SC. Dr. Todor Sheljaskow comes with extensive experience with the Western European, Eastern European, North American, and the Asian business cultures and practices. He has managed business segments and has led international teams of specialists in companies such as Siemens AG and General Electric Co. Since March 2007 he is CEO of Eltrak Bulgaria, the authorized dealer for Bulgaria of Caterpillar, thus bringing practical sense to every academical issue. Dr. Sheljaskow is the author of more than 20 European and American patents and numerous articles in the specialized journals. In 2009 and 2010 he is a finalist in the Manager of the Year competition. Dr. Sheljaskow is a member of the Consultative Board of the Confederation of the Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria as well as a member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.

TZVETANA GUERDJIKOVA, PH.D. Tzvetana Guerdjikova, Ph.D., has extensive experience in managing international projects, both in Bulgaria and abroad. She is a graduate of the prestigious executive programs at Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto (Canada) and at the French National School of Administration (ENA – Paris, France). She has worked as a consultant and trainer with multinational companies in Switzerland, France, Belgium, Canada and other countries. She has led various courses and seminars at universities and corporate training programs. INVESTMENT The tuition fee for the whole Program is 2 400 EUR (VAT not incl.). The fee includes HILL Personality profile and feedback sessions, training sessions, bonus module and webinar session, on-line access to sessions’ photo protocols, tutors’ presentations and recommended readings, lunch and coffee breaks.
