Outside Play
Today as we continued to welcome new
friends into the Elephants room Miss
Tenneile continued to leave the door open
to extend on the children’s interest from
the morning of playing outside.
While we were outside the children enjoyed
blowing bubbles with Miss Cathy. Sheldon Z
enjoyed exploring the different animals that
had been set up. Harrison and Archie en-
joyed using their gross Motor skills and
hand eye coordination to be able to throw
the ball to each other and to be able to
catch the ball. Amelia enjoyed having a chat
on the phone improving her verbal commu-
nication and being able to use her imagina-
tion as she role played what she seen hap-
pen at home. Jayden enjoyed having some
quiet time to himself by reading a book.

Inside Play
While some of our Elephant friends
enjoyed playing outside, some of our
friends were happy to explore inside.
Rosalinah enjoyed cooking food in
home corner and sharing it with Miss
Tenneile and her friends. Thomas en-
joyed reading stories he was even
able to use his verbal communication
skills and explain what he was able
to see in the book. Harrison enjoyed
being able to role play having a chat
on the phone, when Miss Tenneile
asked him what he was doing he re-
plied with a smile “ I’m on the phone
like daddy”. William was happy to
self select the mobilo off the shelf,
while he used his fine motor skills by
connecting the pieces together. Tania
and Elowen both enjoyed playing in
home corner together and being able
to feed the babies.

from one context to another
Let’s Draw
During morning play Rosalinah,
Shelley and Tiffany were ex-
ploring the collage trolley.
Miss Tenneile asked them if
they would like to do some
drawings? Shelley replied using
non-verbal commutation by
nodding her head, while
Rosalinah replied using verbal
communication with a big
smile on her face while saying
“ YES please”.
While sitting down doing their
drawings the children all
showed great concentration
and had great knowledge on
holding their crayons.
