Putney Embankment Foreshore & Barn Elms

The Putney Embankment Foreshore site is on the southern bank of the River Thames. There are two sites: a main construction site and an area to build a temporary slipway to maintain public access to the River Thames.This site will be used to intercept the Putney Bridge combined sewer overflow.

Overview
Upcoming Works – Update until March 2017
Works present to Christmas 2016• Installation of site hoardings and pedestrian diversion • Placement of floating barriers on the river to secure the works area • Temporary re-routing of pedestrian walkways on the embankment• Piling at the base of the river wall on the foreshore
Note: Putney slip / Putney Hard will be open over the weekend of 26 and 27 November to allow access for Vesta Scullers' Head of the River Race.
Works from January 2017 until March 2017• Installation of the temporary slipway on the foreshore• Associated tie in works to highway and pedestrian areas• Demobilisation of the site before the Oxford v Cambridge Boat race
