Instructions for Horizontal/Vertical Rotary Tables Always read instructions before use! 4. Maintenance Before use unscrew the oil plug and fill up to the oil sight level with a quality gearbox oil. Oil should be periodically checked and topped up as necessary. Care should be taken when loading or unloading the rotary table to ensure machined surfaces are protected. Avoid collisions When moving the unit by crane, it is recommended that a steel strap is placed across the table face and secure by two T-bolts, with an eye bolt in the middle for the crane hook. This unit is a precision piece of equipment and care should be taken to prevent corrosion and damage during use or storage. Failure to do so may invalidate any warranty. 13 5 Model Order Code TSL200 IND-437-0500K TSL250 IND-437-0510K TSL320 IND-437-0520K TSL200 & TSL250 Horizontal/Vertical Rotary Table . . . . .1 ‘T’slots Bolts . . . .4 Clamps . . . . . . . . .3 Operator Manual . .1 TSL320 Horizontal/Vertical Rotary Table . . . . .1 ‘T’slots Bolts . . . .6 Clamps . . . . . . . . .3 Operator Manual . .1 Packing List More INDEXA quality products available from your local distributor INDEXA-SEIKI,LEICESTER, ENGLAND, LE18 2FS. 2. ApplicationsIndexa Horizontal/Vertical Rotary Tables are extremely useful accessories for amilling machine. Simple to operate, they allow easy work handling and havemany varied applications including:

Machining - Milling curved profiles and angled faces relative to a centre line.

Indexing - Drilling or milling to polar co-ordinates and, when mounted verticallywith a tailstock they can be used to machine shafts or spindles. The versatileunits can also be used on drilling, boring or slotting machines permitting an evengreater range of operations.

3. Operation and UsePrior to any machining operation ensure the table clamping handles arelocked to prevent any table movement. the ‘T’slots on the table face allowworkpieces to be clamped directly to the table surface. Alternatively a fixture canbe mounted and clamped to the table.

Machining - To establish the initial workpiece position simply loosen the zerocollar locking handle and rotate the zero collar anti-clockwise for about halfa turn. The worm is now disconnected from the worm wheel drive, the table isfree to turn independently to the crank handle and the workpiece may now beaccurately aligned. To re-engage simply turn the zero collar in the clockwisedirection and re-tighten the locking handle.

Indexing - Whatever method of indexing is used the component should be setand aligned prior to use. Loosen the vernier scale locking screw and align anygraduation line on the vernier scale with the graduation scale on the tableperiphery . Tighten the locking screw. Align the zero positions on zero collarand graduated dial .If working in whole degrees, set as above then simply turn thehandle until the required number of degree graduations have passed by the zero mark. For indexing where a movementincludes a fraction of a degree the graduations on the hand wheel are used. From the initial set-up position, zero the handwheel graduation dial. Thegraduations on the hand wheel dial are in one minute incrementsand each revolution of the handwheel is a 4° movement of thetable. Rotate the hand wheel the required number of turns and dial divisions.
