Installation The installation process is detailed in a separate document which can be found here (http://www.truphone.com/pdf/Truphone_Installation_Guide_IPHONE.pdf)

What is Truphone? Truphone provides telephone services using its internet-based telephone network. Truphone allows you to make iPhone calls via the internet which means that you can make INTERNATIONAL calls at LOCAL rates because most of the routing is done on Truphone’s internet-based network. Connecting to the Truphone network is seamless….via a Wi-Fi connection or, if you are not in a Wi-Fi area, via a normal iPhone call (via your service provider) using the new Truphone Anywhere feature (Please Note: Calls are not possible via your 3G connection). Truphone always tries Wi-Fi first. Once you install the Truphone application on your iPhone, and complete the quick account set up stage, you are ready to make calls.

Truphone Anywhere Truphone Anywhere allows you to make internet calls with Truphone wherever you have Mobile/Cell phone coverage. This means you can use Truphone for all of your calls, and not just when you have Wi-Fi coverage. Truphone Anywhere is particularly useful for making international calls whilst in your home country.

What is a Truphone Anywhere call? Truphone Anywhere routes your calls locally to Truphone (by making a normal iPhone call) and Truphone then routes the call to the destination at our great rates. This avoids expensive international call rates. Each “one-minute” call costs the same as a Truphone call via Wi-Fi plus one minute via your service provider. Note: Calls are not possible via your 3G connection.

How do I make a Truphone Anywhere call?

1. From the iPhone home screen open Truphone

Page 21: Truphone User Guide iPhone

2. There are a number of ways that you can initiate a Truphone Anywhere call.

If you do not have Wi-Fi access simply dial a contact from the Keypad screen or select a contact from your Contacts, Recents or Tru Friends. You will be asked whether you wish to make a Truphone Anywhere call.

3. If you are connected by Wi-Fi you will need to navigate to Tru Friends, select the “more info” arrow ( ) next to the contact you wish to call and choose the Truphone Anywhere Call option.

4. You will be prompted with a warning message informing you that you will be charged by both your mobile operator and Truphone.

Select No/Yes to choose whether you wish to be prompted the next time you make a Truphone Anywhere call.

5. Truphone will now set up your Truphone Anywhere call.

6. Truphone will confirm when your call has been set up correctly.

7. The Truphone Anywhere call is now in progress.

The local Truphone Anywhere number assigned to set up your call will appear as the number being called.

Q: What actually happens to the call behind the scenes? A: Your call is routed via your service provider to a Truphone local landline number in your country and Truphone completes the rest of the call. Q: What does Truphone Anywhere mean? A: Truphone Anywhere means you can place Truphone calls wherever your service provider has coverage. Q: What will it cost? A: Truphone will charge you our standard rate for the call you are making based on the call destination (see www.truphone.com/pricing). Your service provider will charge you for a local call (which could be free if you have bundled minutes). This will enable you to make cheap international calls via your service provider. This is particularly useful where you have bundled minutes or low cost local (home country) calls as part of your contract or “pay as you go” service. Note: Truphone Anywhere is only active when in your home country (or, more precisely, when the country you are in matches the home country of the SIM card in the iPhone).
