The Escape - Synopsis- A little boy who experiences

difficulties at home and at school, so he avoids his problems and learns the hard way that avoidance only creates new problems

Problems encountered during production

• Location - agreeing on locations (outdoor and

indoor) - finding homes to film in (second part);

still a problem

Problems encountered during production• Casting - Finding a young boy to play “Conor” - needed to be a certain age; found someone - Finding a middle-aged woman to play

“Sheila” - needed to have experience in acting; yet to find

someone - needs to be available to film when we need to,

access to their home - found a possible solution (one of us to act),

looking for another solution

Problems encountered during production

• Script - redone several times - changing locations - changing dialogue (make sure it was

relevant, only allowed six lines) - changing types of shots (close-ups, wide

shots…)

Problems encountered during production

• Storyboard - changed it because we changed the

script - had to hand draw sketches

Problems encountered during production

• Consent forms - took a long time to receive them and get

them signed - caused delays to the production

schedule

Problems encountered during production

• Sound/Music - Music - found song that works well with

film; need written permission to use it

voice-over; recently found someone
