    Faults

    Panel Text AMC: Fault Class 1 Description Class 1 Fault detected in motor control software. Fault reaction is pulse removal (stop motor),

    opening of MCB and discharging of DC-link Causes Reasons for Class 1 Faults are mainly faults concerning DC-circuit e.g. DC overvoltage and NP-

    overvoltage. Rectification Check for other related faults in the fault buffer. Each faults results in two records in fault buffer:

    fault class (this one) and fault message (other fault texts in this file) FaultClass INU FC1 FaultClass ARU Not Appl Fault Word 183.32: FW Generic Faults Bit B0 Related Parameters Related IO Panel Text AMC: Fault Class 2 Description Class 2 Fault detected in motor control software.     Panel Text CBU Short Circuit Description Short circuit in DC link. Causes A short circuit has been detected in the DC link with MCB in status CLOSED. Rectification - Check MCB status.

    - Contact ABB Service organisation. FaultClass INU FC1 FT FaultClass ARU Fault Word 183.20: FW Short Circuit Bit B0 Related Parameters Related IO Panel Text CROWBAR FAULT Description When fire through happens, crowbar thyristors are not switched on. DC link voltage is not

    decreasing, or it is decreasing too slowly. Causes - Wrong connection of optical fire through link.

    - Defective crowbar drive. - Defective crowbar thyristors.

    Rectification - Check optical fire through link. - Check crowbar drive. - Check crowbar thyristors. - Contact ABB service organization.

Causes Supply voltage of DC link is too high. Rectification Decrease supply voltage below trip limit.     Panel Text DC Undervoltage Description The full DC link voltages falls below the trip level. Causes - ARU fault.

    - Internal parameter settings. - Defective circuit board. - Communication faulty.

    Rectification - Check ARU faults. - Check for other related faults.

    FaultClass INU FC1 FaultClass ARU Fault Word 183.12: FW DC LinkVolt Bit B2 Related Parameters Related IO Panel Text Delayed GUSP AuxPow Description At laest one GUSP aux power failure is pending for more than 1 minute. Causes - GUSP aux power problem.

    - Fiber optic between GUSP and INT faulty. Rectification - Check auxiliary supply and fuses

    . - Check auxiliary supply wiring. - Check fiber optic cables and connections.

    FaultClass INU FC1 FaultClass ARU Fault Word 183.07: FW CntrlHardware Bit B0 Related Parameters Related IO Panel Text FLASH START FAULT Description Flash start for resynchronization was not successful because the algorithm did not get enough

    current response from the machine when applying short circuits. Causes - Machine is not rotating

    - Machine flux is too small Rectification - Check whether the interval during which the machine has no supply is too long

    Rectification 1 Check insulation level of the galvanic system (transformer, cables, ACS2000, motor). (2 Check fiber optic cables and connections between MainINT board and all PhaseINT boards) (3 Check the current transducers and PhaseINT boards)

    Rectification 1 Check datalogger - Phase capacitor voltage is decreasing fast, several 100 volts in 100 us -> Phase capacitor is shorted. Check if an IGBT in the phase module is broken and exchange the Semiconductor Modules (whole Heat sink) if necessary. - Voltage of lower DC link half is increasing (e.g. because INU tripped) or phase capacitor is decreasing slowly, about 100 volts in 100 us -> Instability in control.
