Big Green Complete FAQs.

Note: International units DO NOT feature Microban. Section 1: Big Green Complete Carton FAQs Q: What are the advantages of 3 Stage Filtration? A: 3 stage filtration means you’ll get excellent filtration quality while you vacuum. The water filtration stage captures and sinks large particles, including dirt, hair and crumbs. Smaller particles are captured by the secondary filter, insuring that the Big Green Complete captures all the dirt and dust you vacuum up. Finally, the HEPA media filter cleans and filters the air before it leaves the machine. Q: What is deep cleaning? A: Deep cleaning is a carpet cleaning process that loosens and removes most harmful dirt and ground-in grit, which may be deep down in your rugs and carpets. Not only does frequent deep cleaning protect the investment you have in your home, but parents of young children, pet owners and allergy sufferers may find deep cleaning especially beneficial. Q: How does it work? A: The deep cleaning process is a combination of TACH: Time: The proper speed is needed to spread the cleaning solution into the carpet and extract it back out. Agitation: Big Green Complete’s deep cleaning brush safely and effectively cleans all types of carpet. Cleaning formula: BISSELL manufactures its own cleaning formulas to work specifically with our machines. Heat: The built-in heater heats hot water up to 25 degrees hotter to ensure maximum cleaning performance. Q: How does the built-in heater help with deep cleaning?

A: The patented built-in heater heats the water and cleaning solution-just like the professionals. The water and solution travel through the heater just before being sprayed onto your carpet. BISSELL provides continuous heated cleaning by raising the temperature of your hot tap water by up to 25 degrees. As long as the heater is turned on the water stays hot. Q: How does Microban® antimicrobial product protection work? A: Microban® protection is built-in to key components of the Big Green Complete to fight the growth of odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew. Under the right conditions microbes can double in number every 20 minutes on an unprotected surface. Microban® protection works continuously to make your BISSELL Big Green Complete easier to clean and to keep it cleaner and fresher between uses. Section 3: Anticipated Product Questions Q: Do I need to have water in the collection tank to run in Water Filtrated Vacuum mode? A: Not for functionality. The product will continue to work but the filters will clog faster. Clean, cold water should always be added to the collection tank when in Water Filtrated Vacuum use. Q: What are all the different tools for? A: Vacuum Tools

• Air-powered Floor TurboBrush: Best for use on carpets and area rugs • Multi-Surface Floor Tool: With brushes engaged, best for use on hard floor surfaces. With brushes hidden, this is the best tool for carpets and area rugs. • 5” Brush: Best for corners and detail work • Crevice Tool: Edges, corners, couches, etc. • Upholstery Dusting Brush: Curtains, under chairs and couches, hard floors

Deep Cleaning Tool • Carpet Deep Cleaning Tool: Best for deep cleaning of carpets and area rugs • 4” Upholstery Tool: Best for spot cleaning of carpets, area rugs and upholstery • Hard Floor Tool: Safe and effective on many hard floor surfaces, including vinyl, tile, laminates and sealed hardwoods

Q: What’s the best way to clean the hose? A: Remove the wand(s) and tool from the grip. Disconnect the solution line from the machine (by turning counterclockwise). Disconnect the hose from the Quick Release™ Hose Door (by turning counter-clockwise). Be sure to hold both ends of the hose up in the air. Take to a sink and flush hot water through one end of the hose. Make sure the grip is pointed into the sink in order not to spill. Q: How often do I need to clean the filters? A: It will depend on use. In general, cleaning the pre-motor foam filter every couple of uses will keep it in top shape. The HEPA media filter can be cleaned whenever you notice obvious signs of use. Q: How often do I need to replace the filters? A: The filters can be washed to remove most contaminants. However, replacements are available for purchase. Both filters should be replaced if there is visible wear, tearing or holes in the medium. Or, you could always keep a spare set on hand to eliminate the wait for a filter to dry after cleaning.
