(AUSTRALIA) TROJAN 5TH WHEEL LEVELLER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Part No. 307007 SPECIFICATIONS: Load capacity: 3400kg per leveller Stroke: 530mm (21”) Extended length 1879mm (74”) Area of foot pad: 558 square mm (22 square inches) Retracted length: 914mm (36”) Max adjustment of foot pad: 430mm (17”) Power requirement: 12 volt D.C. only IMPORTANT: Read all the following steps before beginning installation. (1) Set the trailer level and determine the desired position for each of the levellers which should be bolted to a substantial part of the trailer frame. Welding is definately not recommended. (2) The top and bottom clamping hangers for each leg must be mounted against steel members to ensure secure mounting. Position each leg so that the uppermost clevis pin sits just below the trailer. This is to permit easy adjustment of the foot pad. Mark the exact position for the mounting of each set of hangers, making sure that the legs are at the same height and that they are straight vertically. NOTE! The stop plates must be positioned UNDER the clamping hangers. (3) Weld the two mount hangers in position. (4) Fit the leg into the mount hangers and retain with a bolt and nut (not supplied) through the outer holes in the mount hangers. Ensure the legs are firmly attached. WIRING: Observe the below drawing of the toggle switch and wire as shown: Positive wire from 12 volt DC power supply (battery) connects to top RH terminal on switch. Negative wire from 12 volt DC power supply (battery) connects to top LH terminal on switch. Red wire from motor on leg connects to lower RH terminal on switch. Black wire from motor on leg connects to lower LH terminal on switch. NOTE! To change the orientation of the switch in relation to the direction of travel of the leg swap the red and black wires over on switch. WARNING!!! IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT A 30 AMP SLOW BLOW SWITCH BE FITTED BETWEEN THE SWITCH AND THE POSITVE SIDE OF BATTERY. AUCKLAND 15 Oak Road, Manukau City, P.O.
