As we put a bow on 2018 and kick off 2019, I feel so fortunate to be a Bantam. One year ago, I wrote as a new athletic director excited for the opportunities ahead for Trinity Athletics and my expectations were exceeded.
Last year was another remarkable year, highlighted by many individual and team accomplishments and the outstanding support offered our student-athletes by the Trinity College community.
We created this Year in Review to help document the successes of our student-athletes, coaches and staff. I hope you enjoy reading about and reliving many great moments and memories that will last a lifetime.
However, none of this would be possible without the support we receive from Bantams around the country. At a time when we are laser-focused on growth in our department, this support has allowed us to reach many of our goals.
While there is plenty of work left to do, the future is bright for Trinity Athletics.
Roll Bants!
Sincerely,
Drew GalbraithDirector of Athletics

CAREER DEVELOPMENTFOCUSING ON LIFE BEYOND TRINITY
In fall 2018, we launched our first-ever Trinity Athletics Four-Year Career Development plan. As an athletic department, we are committed to cultivating a comprehensive career development program that will empower student-athletes to explore their passions and learn the skills necessary to navigate life beyond Trinity. Combining the collective expertise of our robust and diverse alumni network with the College’s Center for Student Success and Career Development, we strive to prepare our student-athletes to translate their Trinity education, as well as the skills learned through sport participation, into a lifelong career.

The year ahead promises many more exciting accomplishments by Bantam student-athletes, teams and coaches. The Kellner Squash Center will play host to the CSA Women’s Squash National Championship in February. We are launching an innovative summer program for middle and high school students focused on character-based leadership development through sport – the Trinity Sports Leadership Academy. In the fall, we will induct the inaugural class of the Trinity Athletics Hall of Fame. We will also continue to move forward towards a sustainable financial future for the athletic department and explore capital projects that will impact not only varsity athletes but all Trinity students.
