While deployed to Helmand province in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (12.1) I planned and executed 21 mounted and 53 dismounted combat patrols, raids and interdiction operations consisting of 16-25 personnel while responsible for $1.9 million dollars of assets including detainee handling processing, and reporting of 13 enemy prisoners of war as a squad leader.

Employed and tasked numerous enablers in combat operations including: Psychological Operations Team, Law Enforcement Professionals, Joint Expeditionary Team, Explosive Ordinance Disposal teams, Close Air Support platforms, Tanks, Engineers, Professional Linguists and partnered with Afghanistan National Army/Police in order to foster relationships with local government officials and local nationals.

Analyzed intelligence for mission planning utilizing the Military’s Non secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIX) and Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems for mission planning and disseminated to subordinate units resulting in the effective and efficient actions of troops.
