> Her UK passport is only valid for 6 weeks, but as she only plans to spend two weeks in Brazil, it’s not worth the hassle andexpense of renewing it before she goes – but she has made copies of her passport and tickets to leave with her family in case of emergency.

> She has been to see her doctor and has been vaccinated against yellow fever. Cassia is also taking plenty ofmosquito spray.
