MARSE Rules Package • November 5, 2014, the Michigan Department of Education
(“MDE”) submitted the final version of the latest MARSE Rules package to the Joint Committee on Legislative Affairs (“JCAR”).
• Submission of the final version of the MARSE Rules to JCAR is the final step in the administrative rulemaking process under the Administrative Procedures Act, MCL §24.201, et seq.
• JCAR has 15 legislative session days from Nov.5th to determine whether to adopt the rules.
