Goals1. Strengthen Downtown as a vibrant, intergenerational live/work/learn/play community and destination.

a. Increase the number of downtown residents via a diversity of market rate and affordable housing choices (multifamily, single family, live-work, senior, workforce).b. Place active uses on the ground level of buildings adjacent to new Ronstadt Plaza such as stores, restaurants, and cafes with entrances directly onto the plaza.

2. Encourage, enhance, and expand multiple modes of transit including pedestrian, bicycle, bus, Modern Streetcar, and automobile via:

a. Upgrades in existing routes, route efficiencies, and associated amenities.

b. Creation of a central urban multimodal transit hub with seamless and safe linkages between modes.

c. Access should be prioritized for vehicular, pick-up/drop off, bicycle, transit, and vehicles.

3. Increase Tucson business competitiveness, stimulate economic development, and grow the tax base via expanded retail and

business incubator space.

b. Provide appropriate amenities including landscaping, outdoor lighting, public restrooms, seating, and interactive water features.

c. Capture the street corridor as an essential component of pedestrian open space.

d. Create an urban oasis effect via climate comfort and safety. e. Create a strong sense of interconnectivity within the site and with the rest of Downtown. f. Preserve critical viewsheds to surrounding mountain ranges and other landmarks.
